Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970hello hiii,,i have only had fone about 3 weeks and learning all the time so here goes,,
In homescreem with fone open press end/on off key for a few seconds to bring up a menu..Scroll down to LOCK PHONE..Select and up will come a box with LOCK CODE:above it,,enter 8 zeros and this will lock phone whether open or shut..
To unlock phone press left soft key and enter 8 zeros to release the lock..
I hope this what you mean..Also if you find any tricks tell us because its quite a new model and things are taking a while to rewrite to use on the innov8..

can u pleaseee answer to my question
is there anyway to lock this mobile when it is slide open bcoz it gets unlocked itself in that position. As u must be knowing .Is there anyway to put a password or code on it so it does not unlocks even when slide open.

Adit, 28 Jan 2009Press # key n hold..like recent nseries (n81,n82,n96,n79 et... moreI have read i little bit about g810 because i have been searching that forum for software,,however since your coming from g810 all thats different about it is cam mp increase and newer feature pack 2 and thats whats causing all the incompatability issues..I do not know what to say i like it but expect battery to be same as g810 about 1 day and texting on it is superb the keys are well spaced..You will get dix video ,,larger screen,,auto rotate and optical joypad,..Do a compare between 2 directly on gsmareana itself then read some reports..Also you will get memory boost to 128mb ram and internal of 8/16gb but mostly in uk its 8gb version..Audio is best ive heard with audio chip and sammsungs DNSe tech..brilliant pickys and slo mo..It looks better in flesh and is quite slim.So overall your getting quite a boost from g810 but perhaps not enuf for you to splash out..

brynn, 27 Jan 2009i have no dust yet but it would really bother me and some s... moreThere is a screen protector for the INNOV8. I went to ebay and it was written there,"Samsung i850 INNOV8 Screen protecter". I know some people might think that only touch screen phones only needs a screen protecter,but that's not true. Even a casing would protect the INNOV8 from dust. But i would recommend a crystal casing as silicone casing attracts more dust.

@ DUMBO have you just come from an old series 60 phone cause they changed pencil key wen n95 came out..the pencil key is now the star button,,it will be odd at first, it was for me plus when you copy you have to press start to start copying..Why they changed it i dont know but i liked and used the pencil key a lot..
To person with wi-fi probs i posted a list of what to do earlier about a few pages back..That said it does seem your going about it long winded..First on home screen press menu key..Then scroll around to web icon..Press this then select options to either go to a bookmark or input your web address..Then press go and the barbers stripe goes along bottom til up comes,,search for wi-fi and beneath that internet and beneath that wap..Select wi-fi and it searches for all available in your vicinity..Pick your router,,enter password/passphrase/wepkey and it starts going to your selected page..All my wifi- is off its not on at all it goes on automatically for me..
You may experiance problems if
your network is hidden or,,
your wep key is wrong or passphrase or,,
your out of range or,,
your provider has disabled it
Their is no need for wifi- to be switched on or searching every 10 minutes or whatever..Its just open web and connect but make sure you have set access points to "Ask Every Time" else it will connect with your preselected option all the time..

Hi i wanna buy innov8, i also have sammy g810 n i love it,coz optical zoom n xenon works amazing..is this innov8 worth to buy? Plz i need innov8 user advice..thx so much

do u kno how 2 get the dust particles outta da di... morei have no dust yet but it would really bother me and some say it gets in thru back were their is light wen display is on..Could a hoover with a straw attached to it suck out dust,,i would be peeved and if it happens will try to get new one or complain and then it would be watchdog uk for me..Samsung code is 7 noughts or 8 noughts i think..
to Rwiai ,,thanx for that will try it later but battery is dead but using it since 7.30am yesterday at a medium usage so battery is good for 1 day really..

Hey guys!!... Umm. i sill dont get how to connect my phone to the internet via WiFi. Can someone pls Tell me the step by step instructions?? thx alot!
By the way. i have tryed:
1. menu, Connectivity, connection manager, Available Wlan, options, define access point, then i enter the wep key.
when i try to connect to the internet, its says "no gateway"

Guys the device is spectacular except for the following disadvantages:
1-power hungry
2-lemgthy and shitty software update process
3-auto lock and auto usb charging which cannot be disabled.
3-A little bit heavy and not so much ergonomic.
4-very stupid headphones (completely not ergonomic
but otherwise its realy rocks especially the music player when coupled with sony MDR E818 HEADPHONES with their sponge pieces.
-for a good anti virus there is an f-secure which is specially suited for this i8510 although its trial but better than nothing, the link:
