the camera is great the leds do not work really great at night but onphone picture editor does make them all look super cool. I am looking however for the phones gps software none on my phone? the phone was bought in canada but is the european i8510 at the retailer they did open the phone so they can check the specks (thats what they said) if the software is deleted unitentionally is there a way to get it back on?

My wife has had the C905 for a week now and I've had the Samsung I8510 for nearly 2 months. Though I'd share my views for those of you finding it difficult to decide between these two 8mp handsets.
C905 -
The camera generally seems to produce better photos than the i8510.
The handset is obviously less bulky, looks better than the i8510.
It does feel a bit creaky and wonder how it will last.
Samsung i8510 -
The flash on the camera is too bright for taking photos close up.
This phone has more features having symbian operating system.
Browser is faster and easier to navigate web pages due to the optical joystick.
Video recording quality is excellent.
The i8510 is really solid, made mainly from metal.
Large internal memory 8gb / 16gb plus micro sd if you need it.
Overall-
The i8510 has more features all round and is more robust.
The C905 is smaller, has better still camera and looks nicer.

The best phone I've ever seen!!! I'm a big fan of SE, and currently I'm using G900. But newly, SAMSUNG has made adorable phones! Like INNOV8 and OMNIA! But SE, is loosing this time. None of the phones that SE makes these days can not be compared to new SAMSUNGs and NOKIAs. They lack high quality video recording, they don't have good processors like G900(!) only 208 MHz! I think the company must change its route, or it will loose its position.

Does anybody know whether this phone can text using
ems? Like putting some funny figures with gestures
similar to sony ericsson or samsung with proprietory os.

Hey guys samsung rocks.. i8510 innov8 and i7110 series of samsung s awesome.. Currently m usin samsung d900i 3mp phone n believe me itz itsef enuf to beat all nokia n-series in all aspects.. njoy frnz.. nokia sucks n samsung rocks..

Hi,
I am facing the issue with the MMS setting here in Pakistan using the Operator Telenor every setting peramerters are right, and i can succesfully send MMS to every body, but upon receiving the MMS get deleted and only text appear on mobile screen with the text attachment removed,

samsung only makes one good mobile phone once in a blue moon and when they did, they made the best and greatest mobile phone ever. samsung innov8 beats all nokia phones from n96 to n95 8gb to n82 to e90 to 5800... this phone is the new king. it makes the n96 and n95 seem like just dwarfs.

I'm from the Philippines. I just recently bought this phone and I just want to ask, is the battery life really that short even though you are not heavy on the features? Also the GPS application doesn't even lock whenever I try to get the coordinates of my current position? Is this normal or this is something that should be fixed by a firmware update... thanks

Fantastic sound quality from Samsung i8510, a lot better than my previous Nokia N91 and Sony Ericsson W980. Best Music Phone ever.

this is the best samsung mobile ener seen ..even much better than n96 ..its wide faster ..its performance are great ..i used nokia mobiles since 6 years ago ..but this samsung mobile has changed my prespective!!its really amazing!!just try it ..believe me!!call me if u want 216 21 23 60 49..

which is better the i-series or g... morethe i-series is the smartphone range of samsung feautiring windows mobile and symbian... g-series is just middle range phones..! so i series is better if you want serious specifications on to be packed on your mob..! :P especially the i8510 is the best smartphone in the market now..

Sergé, 31 Oct 2008Much better than the N96I just upgraded to this handset, the camera is ok but bare in mind that you will not beable to take very good photos when you zoom in (optical zoom only) and the dual led is only good enough in low light settings

As being a symbian OS can we transfer the Contacts via same Micro SD jst by taking the backup from my Nokia or Via bluetooth Synchronisingas we do in NOKIA to NOKIA pls reply soon as planning to get this soon

Or does T-Mobile use the the more common in America HSDPA 850 / 1900?
If it does this phone won't support 3.5G until they release an American version.

hi users pls do tell about the performance in terms of camera,web browsing and YOUTUBE for me camera and YOUTUBE is must as I click much and to destress watch youtube presently having N95 8GB and its giving me good results in both the areas
