Nope mine is just able to receive videos but i cant send any at all! So the one in the link isnt any diff from what u already have! But when installed mine the fring 4.00(5) installed fine the a second installation(cant remember what it was called) but when it started it popped up and said "Unable to install. Please install base file" did urs do the same!?!?

I know exactly how u feel(confused)lol, i was very unsure when i did it but i just followed based on the errors that kept poppin up and i adjusted the path as it describes and then it worked flawlessly. Theres is alot of fear and anxiety that builds up when the flashing process actually starts and u can see the data being downloaded onto ur phone. but when u see ur phone automatically boots up and starts in that italian language u feel untouchable....cuz u jus grabbed the bull by the horn and u had the balls to do it!

i'm not able to find the fring (the version with video which works on the SOHD) in either of the 2 links (on ipmart) which you've posted. anyway, i have one that works somewhat with one way video.. does your's work both ways? are you able to send video from your phone?

hi guys,
i finally bought this beautiful phone last night... and my immediate thoughts are that it is amazing.
but i have three quick questions:
i see on youtube that most of these phones come installed with four videos, one with a helicopter of some sort, and a few about a quick start up guide - now i dont really need them as i have more than enough videos of more importance - but if i am to sell this phone one day in the future i want it to have everything it was supposed to. so does anyone know where to download those videos ?
and also my phone says that it has software version i8910DX1H1 - is this the latest software update - and if so when on earth will samsung release a new worldwide update; hasnt it been long enough ?
finally, when i lock the phone, how do i make it so that you have to type in a password before you can do anything just like the iphone - is this possible as i find it very very important

At first it downloaded for 4min and update , then you start recognising the phone but same message appears. Either it is not for our region or just wait instead of italian or hong kong ver first.
It is symbian 5th edt but not as Nokia phones have easy updates regularily. Need UR assist.

for those who flashed their phones and missed Asphalt4,I found its installation file in ROM drive of my phone, and it seems that it works,if you still want it, contact me in further comments,hope it helped..!

Thats JVIF2 which has arabic language but ... moreHamid,
The first folder (XXIG2) is what the phone should be flashed too, the folder has a CODE file, MODEM file and a CSC file, These are what make up the firmware version and custom version. But the procedure is the same regardless of the firmware u flash too but as it relates to the folder structure and if it needs be edited as i described in an earlier....u will only know if it gives u an error stating that it cannot find a file in a particular location....if it does then just edit the file path as described in the error message and with my steps as a guide....

I heard a whisper that this phone has some kind of FM transmitter on it for music, I'm guessing that's not true though as it would be way too cool.
Anyone else know if it's true and if so how it can be unlocked?
