Hi guys , i have a question from the people who have this phone . i want to know about the battry life , if you use your phone normally, how many hours will it work ?or how many days ? thx , please also tell me the works what you do in these hours that i can compare it with my phone.

For all price related queries:
-MP & Mah has 12.5% vat,other's 4%.(so make sure u buy ur SOHD,attending ur cousins marriage in other state
-Dont buy from Company Showrooms or eletronic malls.Go to a reputed local dealer who deals only in cellphones,ull be surprised at the price variations.(LOCAL and REPUTED is imp)
-If your paying beyond 27.5K u need more market research & survey.
-Trick the storekeeper into showing/disclosing his company pricelist,(tell him of a model no. tht does not exist n insist finding it out in his pricelist)
*this last step is very imp to strike a good deal.

Dear All,
Consider this as a serious bit of advice,and this may be a bit long..so sit tight.
For all those who are still making up your mind for buying this cell,u can take my advice..cuz i was in your boots sometime ago, n ive scrutinized long & hard.
1.Symbian or winmo(basically Omnia HD or Omnia II)
Ans-Symbian(as of now)
a. 16Million colours vs 65K(that too because winmo limitation,phone could support more),n believe me it does make a huge difference while watching videos.
b. Flash support:SOHD has full flash support.winmo 6.1 dosent.ull have 2 watch m.youtube.com(mobile version of utube)instead of the original site.winmo 6.5 also has issues with flash(Omnia II in India has 6.1 as of now)
c. Cost(INR):27,500 for SOHD,8MP cam,16GB memory,16M colours,full flash useability,full HD video
28,990 for OmniaII,5MP cam,8GB mem,65K colours,no flash support,lower video fps(the only + is 800 Mhz processor)
d. Touch:SOHD-Capacitive,OmniaII resistive.This makes a huge, huge diff(tested both).SOHD cand stand apart on this one point alone(others are a plus).ull luv fingering ur cell all day...lol.
e. Software Avail : Winmo sure has a upper hand here & has much more than s60v5 as of now.But im seeing a sharp rise in s60v5 apps since i bought it(about 2 months now)
Conclusion (mine) : If u picture urslf sittin in train,flight,hotel lobby or any place where ur alone for long hours...rush and buy SOHD.The movie playback quality on this huge screen has to be seen to be believed.the sharpness,clarity n colour saturation is just mindblowing.Even if ur thrown in the dark dungeons..this cell wont let u get bored for a single minute.I myself hated my commute to office(45 min run on company bus..on which i mostly slept unwillingly)but with this cell i luk forward to it everyday.I carry along my movies which i otherwise dont have the time to watch.n ive seen around 12~15 moveis (dvdrips without any conversions watsoever,jst copy & paste).If price is a high for you...dont worry take the plunge once.it will make up for it easily in tonnes of entertainment.Its 1 decision u wont repent..ever.

Yes this phone is "kinda" large,n if ur a fan of those xtra tight jeans,it wont let u get on your bike with ease(or maybe sit on a chair).ull probably have to keep it in your shirt pocket or hold it in hand or keep elsewhere while geting ur butt on base.but walking around(upright) with it aint a problem.

the build quality is way tougher than most phones out there. i dropped it from 4ft above the ground after i bought it for a week. The structure is still tough and intact.

i like everything about this phone except it doesn't have good apps like iphone!!!

to people with audio and voice complaints.

press *#0002*28346# to go to advance settings.
this setting lets you adjust and enhance the volume on handset,headset, headphone,video,music, ringtone, ect!!! the custome audio volume will blow your ears away!!!!!

just don't mess with the "camera mic" settings. it will mess up your camera!!!

Lol, anyone heard music on a samsung j700 headset? It's pretty good for a low end handset. How does the omnia compare to it. The quality of the music on the j700 is really good and very loud, better then my new laptop (but this could be because of the cheap headphones). Is the omnia better? and by how much?

Hello Friends

It's been only 3 days since I bought this phone but it has already hung 3 times on the Gallery. I have filled only 2 GB material (mainly video songs and 1 .avi movie) and a 2 GB memory card (half full) so I believe it is not heavily loaded. There was no response to touch on the gallery icon in those moments but other icons worked fine even during that time. After I restarted, all became well.
Is this normal?
Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated?

Case 1: Bluetooth paired and music running on bluetooth hadsets.

I plugged in the 3.5 jack and sound stopped in both sets. Music played in none. I then plugged out the jack and the bluetooth music started agin.

Case 2: 3.5 Jack plugged and music running and I THEN pair the bluetooth device.

Nothing happened to the jack music (which played continuously) while bluetooth headsets stood silent. When I plugged out the 3.5 jack, immediately the bluetooth sets started playing. When I again plugged in the jack, only the bluetooth headsets went silent this time (but jack music started again- unlike case 1).

So you wanna know about music quality.

I tested the music by using 4 pair of headsets:
1) The provided inbox in ear buds
2) My stereo bluetooth Motoroker S9 headset
3) My earlier N82 pair of headphones
4) My friend's sony earbuds bought from a retail shop.

I tested all the pieces on the default Helicopter demo video which I felt had a good sequence of sound variants perfect to benchmark the test.

The Sony & N82 headsets were totally outclassed for bass and surround sound effects compared to the other two right at the outset.

It was a tough choice between the bluetooth stereo and the inbox headsets as both sounded good till the real sound effects came in. However after many replays and iterated comparisons I had to give the prize to the bluetooth headsets coz they had a more pronounced bass and an equally balanced treble Even the mid ranges were very impressive. Finally the virtual 5.1 surround sound was also very powerful and it gave a close experience to sitting in an OK kind of theatre.
I must say that I was somewhat disappointed with the inbox headphones given by Samsung. I would have expected that with such a type of an expensive high end phone, customers deserved better in terms of music quality especially when we have already experienced the kind of headphones that Nokia provides with its music flagship devices like the N73 and the N95 8GB which are provided with Bose headphones (Amazzzzzzzing quality- Too good). Samsung could have done better in this regard.
To sumarrise, If you are looking for real music then I would advise you to buy a good quality wired pair of headphones like the Sennheiser HD series or the even better ones. For Rs. 3300 (My bluetooth headset price) you would get a decent Sennheiser supra aural headset with Excellent Music Experience.

My purpose for buying a bluetooth headset was safety while travelling rather than actual music. So you have to identify your priorities first. But at the end of the day,I would say that a wired headset always has an upper edge over a bluetooth headset under comparable conditions.

its like a thrill going there too much...
