planning to buy my first android device,, leaning towards buying i9000 because of tight budget, here's the thing, do i9000 Samoled really burn in? and how can we prevent it(custom roms, settings?) thank you in advance..

My battery does not last long. I have to charge the my phone after every 5 hrs. I do not keep the applications open, keep the display brightness very low and does not use internet a lot. Still my battery does not last long. Please help me and give some tips on how to save the battery.

boohoo, 10 Aug 2011buying this fone is a good option but somehow it is a terro... moreyes, instead of KIES, root your phone and get ROM Manager and flash a custom ROM. Much better than any stock ROM.
i.e. I am running Darky's 9.5 Extreme Edition. it includes call recording button on keypad that can record both sides of all conversation and many other tweaks including extended power menu.
Why anyone would ever stay on a STOCK ROM is beyond me.
Oh, and its virtually impossible to ''brick' and SGS.,

So if u don't mind an ok camera that's 5mgp, then all the rest of the phone is awesome. The camera is usable, but not really ideal for family pics if u want a really sharp picture. But it's still a good enough camera to use.

i purchased this few days back... its sceen is too good... touch sence very good.. but when comes to camera. .. normal lense.. after spending so much money.. camera is not so good.. no flash as well. atleast should have carl zeiss lense. rest other things are good.

Hi everyone. How can I replace new market for old one. Because I installed the newest one 2.0.37 and i dont really like it. So how to get back to previous version? (not 2.0.36, but earlier..)

buying this fone is a good option but somehow it is a terroble idea to update using kies. kies sucks. i m still stuck with 2.1 eclair bcz kies juz keep disconnecting itself halfway through the update. any ideas and help?

The battery life seems to be better when it is idle. With normal usage it probably consumes the same amount battery as 2.3.3.

Just bought SGS I 9000 this week, after considering phones like Incredible S, Desire S and I phone 4.. the phone is fast and awesome..Screen clarity is outstanding...Moreover, the SGS I 9000 I purchased came with ANDROID 2.3 GINGERBREAD official upgrade version..ANDROID 2.3 GINGERBREAD is now avaialble for this phone...Amazing phone...go for it

When I plug the charger then it starts working again...

They were clearly giving the impression imo, that gingerbread is officially released on the sgs.
