hey guys 2 days my kies show update for my phone.
but when i asked service centre for update they said
that this is not official launched you might be in
problem after updating 2.3.3 version. bcoz many people
downgrading 2.2 after upadting 2.3.
So any can tell me should i updated or not.?
any problems faces after updating ?
PLz tell me

just down updating my sgs with gingerbread and my initial impression is its freakin fast!...
hope it last for long... il will still test the battery performance and many more...
il keep u updated Philippines! =)

all right! Gingerbread is here! thank gawd!! I swear my phone was acting like a schizophrenic off its meds when it was on FROYO, now its so much better. and Yes after having this phone for more than 6 months I have to say it continues to rock the awesomeness outta every other phone. By far, I have never been as satisfied with a phone, this is the best!

I flash like, 3 times a week with nothing removed. So yeah...with Kies is OFFICIAL but damn...i'm not gonna wait for that. Try some dudes out there and you'll donate them, i'm sure... :D

I can't say anything about Kies because I'm coming from DXJVO (European firmware)so in case it doesn't appear in Kies, just flash it via Odin. Don't go to the stupid service centers (they will say that it's not available just like my experience when froyo first caame to the philippines).

Simply becau... morewrong, flashing official firmwares using ODIN will not erase all your contacts, messages, apps, etc. just flash the firmware w/o repartition & you will retain all of your contacts, messages, etc.
apps, messages & contacts can be easily backed up & restore using third party apps anyway

Though it is also missing from Froyo but u can install it on Froyo.
While trying to install it on Gingerbread I failed.
So sorry once again for not liking gingerbread.
I personally like more speed but these lve wallpapers are killing . they give such relaxing and refreshing effect .

White and black battery covers are the only difference in white and black Galaxy-S editions .
The white isnt available easily if u want one ill tell u a way out.So buy paying for one ull be able to carry two colours.

Simply because with Kies everything in your phone is still there after updating. If you do it yourself with an update program you will end with a phone like you just bought it, all your stuff gone (messages, contact, programs, settings...).

Official GingerBread 2.3.3 is available through keys for India. Its been out almost 4 days back. I put it on my phone yesterday. Need to play around with it yet. Note: Make sure to update you Samsung Keys to the latest version and then, it lists the available firmware update when you connect the phone.

I have already posted details on how to flash Gingerbread onto the SGS. Details are on page 8 (at the moment). Follow the web link I posted. The link contains details of where to download the Rom you need - you will need the Rom with Bootloaders - and Odin 1.7
I did mine in about 15 minutes, it's easy !
Remember though that accept responsibility for any modifications you carry out ( I have to include that ).
