I didn't install and lagfix or root my phone yet. I heard it's harmful to the phone in some way. is it true? How did you guys do it? Please share ok? Even on froyo, still laggy sometimes... =.=

Excellent phone, great specs and a pretty decent camera too....so long as there is plenty of backlighting! Only bad thing is it has a tendancy to freeze every now and then. Overall, still a fantastic product!

I want samsung to bring out official lagfix..They should build it into kies update..If it can be done by outsiders surely samsung can do it..There is always something wrong in smartfones why cant they get it right for crying out loud????

Also lost credit joining a game company and it just keeps taking credit saying you have now joined this,,top up again and it says congrats you now joined this and took my credit again.I went to police and they told me to destroy sim..However i was annoyed and went looking for company but it was just an old garage with a lock on it.i hate mobile fones sometimes..:-(((

I am strictly talking about official releases. Overall phone is more responsive, web browser feels faster. But as I mention, Samsung seems to keep their own RFS file system which really handicapped Android and Galaxy S.
With GPS, it had never worked before. I would get satellite lock very rarely and lose it immediately. With 2.2.1 so far it only struggled to get a lock on the overground train in open air and when stationary. Not sure if this expected with trains or the GPS is still some what sub par.

Trying to update to froyo but its not available for my product code in Greece. That is sad because we live almost in 2011 and Samsung still dont know what customer support means. By the way, my product code ends in "EUR"

For all of those guys who are complaining about their balance being vanished mysteriously, I woul suggest to download APNdroid from market. put it as a widget on the home screen, when activitated, it will block all internet access requests through you service provider.

Just downloaded a clock app to my phone and it just ate the remaining nine pounds of credit.
On checking, I found I had not unlocked my wifi this time.
I give up. Don't use these type of phones on pay as you go.
I've now ripped out my sim card and just use the phone for camera and games.

maybe I'm paranoid,
but I find you have to watch out when downloading games on your phone because when you play them, some want to upload your high scores to the net, therefore costing you money.
After having all my credit mysteriously wisked away, I never play games on my phone unless I'm at home and connected to wifi.
Having said that, I haven't taken my phone out of the house since I got it for xmas, and after putting another ten pounds credit on it today, I found it's used a pound of it already and I haven't used it at all.
Can somebody tell me whats happening, otherwise I'll have to get rid of it and go back to my Sagem.
