Having a camera flash is nice, but even a dozen LEDs don't do justice to a poor camera. Flash is just like cream in a salad, it cannot put anything that wasn't there in the first place.
What bothers me about the HTC phones, in general, is their poor camera. Regardless of mp, HTC phones have "dark" hues, even when shot indoors with lots of light. I tried testing an HTC Desire in a showroom with SWATHES of spotlights everywhere, and the pic of the salesman still looks soo bluishly dark. It is a shame that you have to turn on the flash to take pics EVEN when indoors with lots of light !!!
In contrast, the Galaxy S took in the "natural light" in the same showroom, and the shot looks like it is INSIDE a showroom -- blinding bright, good color exposure, detailed the people's hair and clothing, etc. With the Galaxy S, I don't need a flash so much, but with HTC, unless you actually like dark hues on your pics, you HAVE to turn the flash on everytime you shoot anything.

I'm just wondering. With the Xperia X1, u have 3 options for scrolling: the optical mouse pad, the navigation keys and dragging your screen up/down and sideways. With the SGS, the only option is by dragging the screen and then with editing text, moving to the right spot could also b a prob, or am I to spoiled with the three OPS with the X1?

Look at the phone ratings and votes galaxy at top......desire is nowhere near to it...... Most of the ppl likes galaxy and they never gona change their decisions by seeing those stupid comments like Tc and hi all

galaxy, 08 Sep 2010Again Again Again I say my galaxy s is amazing with nothing... more s u r rite galaxy is best and amazing phone ever great battery back up than desire, more memory than desire which has limitations in which u can't even play games and can't use more apps.. Great gpu than desire great amoled screen than desire, great divix play back than desire, great music than desire, great performance than desire, 1280x740 screen size play back which is impossible on desire......
If u hav to say the drawback its only the gps that will be solved in froyo sure because we have seen the problem solved in jpc test Rom already so such a great phone when compared to desire its 100% sure..... Lets proud to be a the owner of great galaxy.....

The optical trackball on Desire makes it much easier to edit text on Desire than on Galaxy S. Desire is definetly a more alround phone than Galaxy S.

Don't put yourself everyone. You are a professionl photographer, others are not. You carry a camera around, others don't. You don't take photos in the dark, others do.

2. Only 1st time for calendar but contacts never required.
3. I tired connecting and it works except for the fact I amusing GPRS and service provider wont provide more than 15kBps so i never used it as a modem,if u have 3g it will be faster.............I am goin 2 buy a 3g card to test the speed.........will tell u abt that also a.s.a.p

I am pretty much satisfied with my SGS. There are a few shortcomings like SKIES(but its not a must to install that program...i can live without it-in fact i tried to install skies 5times...and it always aborted at one point)....and what about the thing concerning the RAM?why only 326 RAM when the specs say clearly that it comes with 512MB..i dont get it....this is probably the best phone around right now...so if you could live with its shortcomings(no camera flash, mono radio) its certainly a great gadget to have in your pocket.

Try turning on the USB Debugging in the settings. This is needed to sync the device between your computer and phone in some cases. Also make sure Kies is chosen as an option on the handset.

Firstly, I saw in the review af the SGS that there's a app for drawing and sketching. my Q is: Do u draw with your finger, if so, how much detail can the rough sketch have with such blunt fingers?
2nd: u said that for your calender and phonebook 2 sync, you need to connect to the net. Is that everytime or only the first time?
And then, for using the SGS as a modem, do you "connect to it as a modem" or do u use "internet sharing"?

i like smthing that my fnd might nt thnk of much use..bt thats the beauty of the human mind..no two minds are same in this world..if u dnt like the others pnt of view, thats ok..dnt care of that..

But u said ur not considering to make video calls... Or how often we do make video calls... Or how often we use gps... Or listen to radio... When we have music player on phone...
I am using this video calls service...
Its individual choice as u said dear... For u video calling isn't important for others may be some other feature...
Point is stop putting what sgs lags... People know abt Tht.... No offence. ..

If the led flash is that much imp...than samsung wave or samsung beam outperforms htc desire or iphn or any other phn..
n plz dnt compare n8 with sgs..its of different league..sgs is a supersmartphn with sm small hardware lags..so wat every phn has smthng missing..oth the software lags are nt the drawbacks of a phn in 2010..updates of the os covers these time to time..
