I managed to try the Samsung Galaxy S at the Samsung roadshow at Plaza Singapura in Singapore. The phone is amazing - the screen is very bright and the phone very smooth. I am not sure if LED light is actually necessary for the phone because I hadn't had a chance to try it at night, but the camera is fantastic - the details are very clear. Though the Samsung Wave might seem to have a better screen and smoother interface though, despite both having SuperAMOLED and 1 GHz processor. Nonetheless, both phones are excellent phones and I was completely enthralled!

don't understand what Bu11$h1t is posted here.
the desire is no way better. all specs are worse.

maybe you like the HTC Plastic more, but thats your choice - everything else is objective better on the i9000.

and the desire does have big problems with the missing internal memory - without APPs2SD you'll always have memory troubles, that you'll never see on an i7500 or X10.

I can't believe they don't have a Flash for the Camera. Otherwise, I feel its got everything else, especially the Front Camera(for me, an essential for a 3G Phone).

512mb Ram finally! Now only a too high SAR-value could hold me back.

What made my day over the crappy camera (wich all seem to have - i don't mind about the flash though, its useless):

I think Singapore will be the first to get Samsung I9000 Galaxy S.

because samsung decided to use such a big 4.0inch screen, they had to give up on flash to make the phone as thinnest possible and reduce the weight of the phone. im not sure how much thicker and heavier this phone would be with the flash and how people's opinion would change if this phone became thicker and heavier as one of the main advantages of this phone is being thin and light despite having such a large display. They had to give up something to gain something and Samsung chose thin phone with light weight over flash.

In singapore, if you port to singtel and order online after 9pm, you get 180sgd discount. For typical voice and data plan like flexi lite value, the handset is 218sgd.
                                  Cheaper than htc desire.

If no, ... moreI'm not 100% sure but i believe that some1 stated it in a youtube video .... I remember it because that guy said that the normal android homescreen feature was possible to turn on unlike the galaxy spica where it was turned off....
