Personally i see a lot of people saying games do not work on their phones that have the adreno 205 gpu, and others have no issues. I have played 99% of all the good quality hd games at play shop, and they all work very well. Real racing has a tiny bit of lag occasionally at the beginning of a few races, but is perfectly playable. I would love to have a hdmi port to play games on tv like real racing, but the 4 inch screen is totally fine. And other games like modern combat 3, and 2 do work really well on my tv with the tv out lead i bought. It all depends on the type of game and if it is sharp enough on the tv, since tv out loses some of the hd quality.

just but this phone but according to gsmarena it has 8gig of memory but mine only has 2gig of memory with 4gig card and also with gingerbread instead of eclair so why the change

Go to Settings/Call settings/Voice Call/Call Barring.
A box will appear stating 'Reading Settings'. When it has finished make sure that all the boxes read 'Disabled'.
If they all read 'Disabled' then it is a problem with your carrier. Contact them and ask for the password.

excuse me guys....how do i unlock the call barring...i cant make any phone calls...it asks me about a password???!!!! i made a factory reset , but .....!!!!! nothing has been changed...still no more outgoing phone calls...plzzzzzz helpppp meeeee

I answered that question in my last reply. What part of 'DON'T tick it' don't you understand?
I will repeat it - DON'T TICK THE REPARTITION BOX.
You are not flashing with XXJVU, this is XXJW4 and the procedure is different.
Me & Ray have bent over backwards to help you with what is a VERY simple procedure; Ray in particular went into great detail on how to flash your phone. I know what you are thinking because I have been there - "What if I brick it?".
It is almost impossible to 'brick' a SGS, it is just about the most friendly user phone out there.
There comes a point where you decide to DO IT or DON'T do it, and you have reached that point. Me & Ray can't help you any more, it is YOUR decision. If you lack the confidence to flash it then leave it alone!
I have now flashed six SGS phones with XXJW4 without any problems, so the ROM is safe.
We can't help you any further, just decide for yourself!

You only tick the Re-partion box of you are including a .pit file, which you are not, so DON'T tick it !
This is clearly pointed out in Step 9..
Important! Do not touch any other button or make any other changes in Odin except selecting the required file as given in step 8.
You only install the .tar file, nothing else.
You can use any version of Odin of v3.17 or higher.
Instead of dithering about JUST DO IT!

1 : im in darkyrom 10.2.2 extreme edition and i wanna go to 2.3.6 so i do the same prcedure tht u told ?
2 : my phone is also rooted so is there anything else tht i need to do if phone is rooted
3 : whn im downlowding this rom 2.3.6 do i have to click the repartition button ? coz in darky rom i clicked it (tht means i checked it )
4 : i have odin 1.85 will be safe if i flash with it coz in ur site it has odin 1.7?

What difficulty are you having exactly with the simple tutorial I linked you to for flashing 2.3.6 JW4?
Let me spell it out as simply as I can.
1) Put your phone into Recovery mode (Vol up + Home + Power button) and perform a Wipe data/Factory reset, then a Wipe cache. When done pull the battery out for around ten seconds then re-insert.
2) Put the phone into Download mode (same procedure as Recovery but substitute Volume up for Volume down.
3) Unzip the JW4 firmware folder you've downloaded to your Desktop.
4) Launch Odin and click on the button that says PDA and navigate to the PDA file you've just unzipped to your desktop and select it.
5) Connect your phone to your PC via USB. Odin will say Added and a box will turn yellow to indicate it has recognised your phone.
6) Click the start button in Odin and sit back and wait for Odin to flash your phone. When it's finished it will take a few minutes longer for the phone to reboot than is usual so please don't panic. The phone will reboot.
7) When the phone has rebooted, remove the USB cable and you now have the latest 2.3.6. It might be a good idea to repeat step 1 to make sure nothing of the old firmware is left behind.
And that's it, seven steps to 2.3.6 JW4 Value Pack and TouchWiz 4.

1) Your phone will be completely clean after flashing v2.3.6VP; just like it comes in the box.
2) I don't 'do' Skype; nobody likes me that much. :'(
