[deleted post]I bought this phone around 3 months back. At that time its current price on official website was around 17400.I got a little discount.but recently samsung has increased prices of all its phones so now its sold at 18500 on the same shop I bought it.you can check an online store, maybe you can heft it at a lower price.

This phone has many issue and you will reveals this after gaining usage experience.. i think everyone here is well satisfied with this phone (I'm too satisfied with this in the beginning..) but in reality, it is just a piece of shit from samsung... how???
This phn work well till 8gb mmc but if you shift to 32gb then it's media scanner will not work... neither let you listen music nor you can watch videos, you can access your mmc through my files but only for a short time... after that media scanner continuously run on its own after every short interval...

My piece came with gingerbread 2.3.6 directly..
when i connected to net with kies, ther is only firm ware update..
did this happen with u guys...loud speaker is disappointing...is ther any solution for this in android market..
Il update my user experience with u guys....

tricks for using sl:
1. don't worry about RAM, original galaxy has got only 360 mb of ram which is available to the user whereas SL has got 487 mb (after upgrading to gingerbread 2.3.5),thats good enough for multi-tasking.
2. clear your ram memory every one hour, it'll extend your battery life.
3.turn your phone off after every 3 days once, it completely clears the RAM and shows it at 233 mb after you turn it on.(that means you got 257 mb ram for yourself)
4. disable your data connection when not needed. you can turn it on by pressing power key for 3 seconds and changing the data network option(it will definitively increase your battery life).
5. for quick references use opera mini. it doesnt use GPU and loads up pages faster.
don't regret or question this phone, it offers a very good configuration along with a very decent price tag. its awesome
