I have had the Omnia i910 from Verizon for as long as it's been available. At first I was disgusted with how Verizon crippled the phone but after visiting MoDaCo forums and finding the updates and ROM's that those guys have come up with(especially BlazingWolf)this phone can't touch anything else on the market. The only reason i can see why people don't like it is because it's a smartphone and you kinda have to be smarter than it to use it. It's not meant to be an "entertainment" phone, it's meant to be a serious working phone for the business professional and that it is! With the update from BW that incorporates WM6.5 features and unlocks the GPS, the Office Mobile Suite and the other features that it offers you can't go wrong. Don't be intimidated by the ROM update process, the guys at MoDaCo have made it very simple. I love this phone!!!!!

Boys I did find a really great website to apply, download programs and other staff for this phone go here
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ is other choice you have,by the way I am using one of the programs from this page wich I really recomend is the (Nitrogen player)for the music collection and sound is the best on the Omnia,it has a power saver to turn off the Screen wich is something you can not do with WMP.
Greetings from Costa Rica!

If your bricked your mobile during update go to www.modaco.com/category/368/i900-general-omnia-rom-discussion
and search for solution then if nothing work then the last resort go to Samsung service center

hello frns...
can someone help me?
i have DDIB1 rom in my omnia sinch i purchased the handset. i just got it in May`09.
the problem that i have is the caller id sometimes pops up only half size wen i get a call...
second issue is sometimes the virtual keyboard shows lags which turns out to be very irritating.
i live in india and i trust this is a firmware issue.
is B1 the latest firmware for omnia in indian market? or is there any firmware which came after B1? if yes, how can i install it?
thanx in advance.

Deronalim, 09 Jun 2009Milanored, I have to say again, Omnia mobile phones are fo... moreHi Deronalim, how smart do I have to be? I consider myself pretty smart, using the Omnia for many of its functions. However, when I set it to have the Samsung Today2 widget active, the phone is pathetic in responding to me pressing the icons on the screen! Most times I need to use the finger mouse! This is a very basic function of the device and it can't do it. That is not smart at all in my book. This is rather a serious shortcoming in Samsung's product development handbook, I think.

I have had the Omnia i900 (Black/silver 16GB Orange UK Contract) since about September 2008. I love it. In my opinion it is still the best smartphone available.
There are other mobiles with more than a five meg cameras but this takes great photos and the amount of megs is not necessarily the definition of how good the camera is.
I have SatNav, GPS tracking, hundreds of songs and photos, video clips etc all on mine and I still have loads of room left. You can even get a memory card and bring the total storage space up to 32GB. Having tried Symbian I would not leave Windows Mobile again. Definitely the best smartphone Operating System. Don't mention the iPhone. It has nowhere near the power of the Omnia.
