milojka, 13 Feb 2009hi i got samsung F480 and omnia i have optus sim card and t... moreyou need to check the internet gateway the phone is using as mms needs the net to operate. although you have the settings sent to you, you might need to manually change it. if this doesnt work take the phone to a phone technician, there they will totally reboot the software on the phone. telstra is pretty hard to change mms settings. so a software boot will delete everything on the fone and then you will have to text "set" to the number 7-3-8 which will send you new optus settings :) hope this helps :)

i used to have an n95 and now i have an omnia for a month. i'm really pleased with it's capabilities. alot of room for saving my music, rather good camera(acceptable but not as good as n95's, althogh both are 5 mega pixels.) good display size (but a little low resoloution) unbelievably long battery life. good music player program, you can play all the files in a folder, not just like nokia's list of songs sorted by song names. plays wmv and avi and divx which is awesome. samsung keyboard has big keys especially when you keep your phone horizontally, and its therefor easy to type messages. samsung today 1 and 2 are very handy. working with your thumb is easy and you rarely need to use the stylus. very good phone in general.
the only problems are:
1. the x mark doesnt close the app. (i just read that it can be fixed with "tman" software)
2. if your bluetooth is on you will automattically recieve all incoming bluetooth files.
3. you cant change the folder in which you save your incoming bluetooth files. they are automattically saved on the phone memory and you have to cut and paste them to your storage card. and this problem makes you unable to receive files bigger than usual. (i tested a 41 mega byte file, and the phone failed to save it)
if anyone knows a solution for the mentioned problems, let me know too. thanks in advance.

I upgraded my Orange contract with an Omnia and was really impressed at first - the GPS seemed to work fine, all the applications - even the battery life. Then my clock started to stick on the time i had pressed a button (as in to look at the time) and then locked it again. I looked at it about an hour later and the clock was an hour behind!! Not good!

the handset is awesome but uploading info to the net (facebook) is hell ....... takes about 5 minutes just to upload 15 charecters (connected to hsdpa) .... anyone please advice

if u are a user of windows mobile then u will fall in love with omnia but if u are smartfone user than omnia may not impress u.

i was a n95 8gb user and i was very happy with the phone.but now i have the 16gb omnia and i am very impressed with it.i had a poor opinion about samsung phones because i had a few but now i am proud to own one.verry good job this time.good battery,great design&features,camera is good except the video cam,multimedia features are great.it does deserve it's name.i liked nokia but now i like the omnia.a big surprise for me.i would like to know how can i watch youtube on this phone.if you could help me here's my email:gabivoica2006@yahoo.com.thank you
