Donovan, 06 Feb 2009please guys i need to connect my phone to use as a modem to... moreHie there. To use your omnia as a modem. There is a program in "Programs" named "Internet Sharing".
Just plug in to your PC using the data cable and open the program and click "connect" everything will be done by itself (if you have internet access settings done properly in your phone). And to transfer files from phone to card or vice versa. Use File Explorer also found in programs. Phone RAM - My Device, Phone Memory (8/16GB) - My Storage, MiniSD - Storage Card. So just long click --> copy and paste etc... have fun.

Donovan, 06 Feb 2009please guys i need to connect my phone to use as a modem to... moreI have had the i780 for about a year and the only way you can use a windows mobile phone as a modem is by installing microsoft activesynch from disk if u on xp not needed for vista or windows 7.Go to settings on phone and set usb connection to active synch.Plug cable in and then lastly go to progams ->internet sharing and connect.Should work alternatively go to help files on phone or contact me washief@vodamail.co.za

please guys i need to connect my phone to use as a modem to my laptop if you could explain step by step it would help even the settings on my laptop are not helpfull.plus how do i send information from my phone to memory card and visa.if possible sent help to 0832609269@mtnloaded.co.za

Had this phone for 3 months ..
first was unable to synchronize with win vista, nobody knew why
second,had no arabic language so text sms were just squares
third,touch screen LCD was wobbly, then became erratic and inaccurate , then stopped working all together, i relied on the mouse feature..
fourth, its a nightmare when writing a text, you'll miss the letters and waste your time.
fifth, you'll need time to get used to it .. irritating at first, and wish u could hit it to the wall.
NEVER buy it without a guarantee .. you're gonna need it!
the only thing i liked about it was the camera .. still images are great, video quality sucks ..
I recommend you try it b4 buying it , or you're gonna b very sorry .. I m :-(

just brought an omnia was playing with it and the acelelerometer stopped working, Did a hard reset and it began to work again but after customizing the phone to my liking it stopped working again. Is this a problem that can be fixed via rom update

need urgent assistance, battery life too short, fully charged lasts less than a day. what should it be? Am unable to see where my bluetooth files are saved, aftere receiving, cannot find them on media player. always giving me a message for memory critically low? how do i activate video calling? and how do i use my songs as ringtones as it gives error message? I love the phone though, its a powerhouse of applications when one gets to know how it all works. someone please assist, even with one of my queries....

i need to knew if i could choose the ROM when i in... morethere is only one rom, per country available from the samsung site, i believe the latest on there is HL3(december 08 version 3) but some countries might have older ones available.
and no newer roms increase battery life.

this rom is so old! it is from august 2008. there are at least 25 nwer roms available.
Guys, DXAI2 is the latest most stable rom!!!

My big brother owns this fone for his private purpose along with BB Bold for his business needs. He said this Omnia is twice better than his BB Bold, and if only Omnia had BB connect, he surely would dump his BB Bold. Nice work, samsung.

for PDA: i900XXHD/ACHH3
phone: I900BUHH2
that will solve problem regarding error messages etc.. and 'storage space' errors.
