Its fun reading opinions in iPhone box, they keep fighting the poor features and pricy tag of the unit while you can afford the greatness and easily get all-in-one features of the Omnia. The fight of the dumb and the wiser is quite amusing..

Have you enabled Mass Storage on ur Omnia Handset ?
If not, follow these steps on your Omnia:
Go to Settings - Connections - USB Connection Mode and choose Mass Storage. Choose My Storage in the drop down box which will either 8GB/16GB. You can also choose to use Storage Card as the Mass Storage which is the removable memory card on your Omnia.
It will appeared as a removable disk on your Windows computer and MAC. This will allow you to copy and paste between the Omnia and your Computer.

No that doesn't happen on my side. Something wrong with ur phone. Just try update the ROM once. See if it fixes the issue. If that too doesnt work, take it to the service center.
