Thanks a million...Ur reviwe helped me allot...I think i will go for the i900....But my only worry is that,if i listen to music often through its speaker, wont it destroy the speaker??
If that happens,i wont be able to hear what the caller from the other end is saying...Cos it uses the same speaker for music as well as calling....
Thanks again....

With reference to my earlier complaint about the poor battery life, I have since discovered this handy application. Go to http://code.google.com/p/tman/ and install "tman". I feel it is an oversight by either Samsung or Microsoft. This little program unloads applications automatically from the task manager when they are no longer in use thereby freeing valuable memory. I feel that Tman should be part of the O/S by default. I have gained an immediate 50% increase in battery life by using this program. Highly recommended.

JJ, 26 Jan 2009Hey Bob,
Oh okay..So im thinking that the i910 is only f... moreHi JJ,
Yes Omnia i910 is for States only. And that too CDMA only. So it will work on Verizon & Sprint only. Not on AT & T which is GSM.
i910 speakers are at back. i900 doesn't have speakers at back... but one in front only. But that should not affect much. Atleast for me, the sound is fantastic, loud as well as clear.
Also, forgot to tell you... i900 has front facing camera for videocall. i910 doesnt have one :).
i900 has HSDPA , whereas i910 has EVDO .. since its CDMA.
Ok so now about Omnia i900, as i see:
Pros:
1) Excellent Build Quality. Well designed & good material used all over phone. Feels sturdy in hand.
2) Large Screen (3.2 inches). Its makes viewing a pleasure to eyes. Also, that adds to watching movies & browsing.
3) Inbuilt support for DivX,Xvid and various other formats. Just copy movies/vids...there you go, no need for conversion. Video quality is excellent. No frame skip.
4) Sound quality is good too. If not the best, but you will enjoy listining to songs...FM and all.
5) 5 Mega Pix Camera. It captures excellent pics. Video recording is fine too. Not like LG Viewty/ N95... but pretty good. Coz in VGA mode it supports only 15 fps. But in QVGA its 30 fps...so looks nice in QVGA.
6) Powerfull Processor. Shifting from one screen to next is breeze. No laging.
7) Window Mobile 6.1. You can install about any software.
6) Plenty of space. 8GB inbuilt.. plus you can increase space with additional MicroSD card upto 16GB.
Cons:
1) No Stylus slot. It does come with a Stylus.. but it can't be attached to the handset since there is no slot. But no regrets..the touch screen is very responsive. Can easily work with fingers.
2) The User interface is bit difficult. But once you know the phone, all is fine. You can also install other themes and ROM's... which are easy in interface.
Final words: This phone is a monster. A mini computer.
I know ppl complain abt many things... but its just they dont know how to use the phone. Coz it has so many features packed. If you know how to use... there is no looking back. I rate it well above iphone & HTC touch HD ... as a overall package.
Thats all my personal views. Others may differ.
I just suggest..go look it, rest you can see on ur own.
Let me know, if you need anymore help.
Thanks,
Bob

I would like to know the GPS it has, when you have activated it, It has a Built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support.
Are you billed for using it, or subscription fees? Does it use the Network service provider for GPS, or does it use only the Garmin Satilites. As I would't like it to use the HSDPA as that would suck when I am billed for the period that I might of used it... :(
My Question is simple...
Do you pay anything extra for using the GPS?
Thanks so long...

JJ, 26 Jan 2009Hey,thanks allot bob....:)
Btw,is it available in Asian ... moreHi JJ,
Well Omnia i910 is officially released only for US Market under Verizon. May be u can get the unlocked set in Singapore from some local shops/dealers. Just go and check. Sure you will find one..unlocked.
Any special reason why you want the CDMA version of Omnia ? GSM is easily available in Singapore at Good price. 8GB comes for around SGD 750 , and 16GB for SGD 820.
I got one for myself GSM Omnia i900 few days back from Whymobile ( Far East Plaza ). Its a second hand set ... only 23 days old. Got for only SGD 500 only.
You may check this website www.whymobile.com
Hope this helps

AFSA, 25 Jan 2009hey, can anyone help me on the problem I have with this i90... morei would suggest doing a hard reset, (back up data first) more widgets are available with the latest roms, HL3, AI1, AI2, although i see your on vodafone, and these are non branded rom, so if you like the vodafone barande rom then you would have to contact them for a rom upgrade, and to answer you last question, no, not unless you use third party software.
