Hello to Omnia owners. I have to say i like my omnia a lot but after getting the iphone , the omnia is my now second phone of choice. Yes the omnia has more features but big deal these extra features to me are not relevant. The iphones seamless usability, brilliant UI and ease of use to me makes it a superior phone. I am not a windows 6.1 noob i know the UI inside . I was actually one of the many omnia owners who was happy to slam the iphone without actually using it. I just used the gsmarena compare function and think , "yeh the iphone sux." Not anymore. This is a phone that has reset all the boundary's on user experience. Simply put W6.1 just does not stack up. For the sceptics no mms big deal email your photos very simple. Copy and paste never use it. Camera is more than enough for me . Megapixels are not everything. Want to take perfect photos get a proper camera. Had my omnia for 6 months used video twice. Wanna shoot videos of good quality not the crappy omnia resolution get a proper camera. No stereo bluetooth . I have a sony stereo bluetooth use it 4 times . Listen to all my music with my high quality sony earphones which i still have to bypass with an adapter.
I still like the omnia and its a very good smart phone , but for me it does not stack up to the iphone , it just does not have that fluid nature that that the iphone has. For any Australians who are tossing up whether to get the iphone. Verginmobiles has a killer deal. Nothing up front 74 AUD a month for 600$ of calls PLUS 1 gig of data use. THis is for a 16gig iphone.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Oliver.

Does the Omnia have good video playing capabilities compared to, for example, Nokia N95? Does it support full-screen video playing? Also, what's the music quality like? Does the phone have a hole for a 3,5mm plug?

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2009will i lost all things in phone if i hard reset?only the phone part, which should only mean settings! as you really shouldnt be saving anything to that part, as the space is very small. my storage is seperate and will remain, unless of course you decide to hard reset that part too. you have the option, which part to hard reset.

Try backing up what you NEED on the Storage Card, and format it. Then put all the information back on the storage card..
Try doing this again if it doesn't work the first time.. Then.. If that fails.. Do a HARD reset..
But remember to take a backup of the phone FIRST..

                              Hi all,

                              I have a problem with Omnia's calculator.

                              200 x 2% = 800

                              It returns 800 ...

Anyone facing this problem with the % function?

It must be the WM problem right?

                              How to resolve it?

                              Thanks.

                                to andres,

you clearly made your point. everyone here can see that you consider yourself a "smart person". no argue on that. but i'm pretty sure that the person asking about the equalizer has point too. its valid to wonder if this phone is also "productive" (as you called it) in its multimedia capabilities. are you going to store 16gb (or 32gb with micro sd exp) of pure excell, word and pdf files?????!! its undeniable that an user may want to listen to music or watch a movie here and there,ocassionaly...even you when commuting to your office; and of course this user is specting high performance from his device in this regards too, and everybody nows that an equalizer is just another help to improve sounds from mp3 files. so why not asking about the performance of the player?? after all there are other options available if no multimedia features are your first choice. for me it's smart to get as much info as you can before you make your final choice. if you dont use your device's powerfull multimedia capabilities to listen to music, fine. but surelly some out there "smart" as you, will. it's nothing bad to expect quality from the money you pay.

Hello!I have just bought it at a high price.
I have to saythat Iam a little disapointed of cameraAnd the display doesn't have a hihgh level of resolution but I knew that before I bought it.
So,this phone is a true smart phone inspite of the fact that it doesn't have a high resolution on display and inspite ofthe poor camera.
In my opinion it is too expensive.
                                      Goodbye.

ok, a bit of arrogance going on below, nice rant but a lot of rubbish in there. i'm a pda user and hoped to combine my n95 and o2 xda ll and ipod nano into 1. the fundimental issue of a poor touch screen and fat thumbs makes this device useless to me. i would love to upgrade my rom but as i am a vista user and have no xp emulator modaco is no good. as i am on orange, samsung has no update release yet. so i'm stuffed.
this is a nice try by samsung but for high level business use there are better pda's out there. the new blackberry for instance.

                                        thanks
