In the mean time i've heard that you should charge the phone 16 hrs for the first time. Thereafter it should take about 2 hrs when battery is flat.

hey buddy, look at the power key or LED indicator, when red lights on its charging, when it turns it into green.Fully charge my friend.

How long do you need to charge the Samsung Omnia's battery? The phone just shows "charging" when connected to mains, although the battery charge bar shows full power. Are there any other indication for when the phone is fully charged?

Samsung Omnia battery specifications are specified as 500 H standby time and 5 h 50 min. But even with all my wireless, bluetooth, etc connections turned off i still only get about 9 - 12 hrs standby. Something wrong with the battery?

what about writting sms.
is it easy or hard.
it has a virtual qwerty keypad,
is it writting like in a real keypad or little harder or much harder,example for how many seconds you can write 1 sms from 160 characters?.

How does this device handle PDF files. With the Iphone you have to install a PDF converter/viewer. Is it the same for the phone aswell.
