I am still looking for a solution to this:
When using the telephone keypad, only after the call is active a mesage appears that says "Press the action key to unlock the keypad" and the only way to make it go away is to press the action key. During a call this is very annoying because if you want to enter tones during a call you keep getting interupted with this message display. It comes on after just a few seconds. My question is this, is there a way to deactivate this feature someware in the settings of the phone or software?
or is there a registry tweak that can disable this annoying function?

skibabdee, 10 Sep 2008omnia has a crap music player! you can't edit and reorder p... morere: Inability to edit Playlist

To the person who said that you can not edit playlists...WRONG. You most certainly can, though admittedly it could have been made a little easier.

I the Touch Player great. Again, contrary to other report s9So much misinformation on the net), equalizer settings are avaiable from the touch player (provided you are using a headset).

I've already returned and exchanged this phone twice, and I am still experiencing the same problem. There is no dial tone.

When i first use omnia, noticed THESE, if it's of any info or help to you, here you are

(will add on soon if anything else noticed)

              - flash too bright when taking photos near subject

              - video seem laggy during recording and playback, audio cracks alot, almost inaudible if recording done in noisy environment

              - battery drops pretty fast with use of data plan/wifi and of cuz camera and videos,so far have not experienced battery flat when out

-opera browser intermittent hangs/unresponsive/sensitive,,seem a lil' unstable, initially not used to navigation as i own a ipod touch as well, took a few days before getting used, kinda good after that

              - windows live messenger (msn) as phone application, stays connected with wireless/data plan even when phone goes into standby mode, an advantage over web based messenger

              - keypad's kinda small with my big fingers LOL but can be compensate with use of fingernails, XT9(word spell or something like that?) helps you type much more faster

-GPRS auto-connect @ times w/o knowledge, probably due to myself not adjusting the neccessary settin yet?

              - am previously a nokia user, takes you a few days (at least for myself) to get used to omnia user interface

Fat_Jon, 11 Sep 2008theres no such thing as profile in wm phones... u can on... morethanks. might have to do that as i miss having settings for situations. the screen takes some getting used to but its a nice phone. i came from an original n95, and its not a huge leap forward. if the n95 was this shape and size i would have been very happy to have stayed with nokia

This handset is the dog's danglies. It has virtually everything you need in a handset, it's compact and has cracking performance.
I reckon on the 16Gb you can store around 50 movies.
You can get it free on alot of contracts and it thrashes the iphone in terms of performance and price.
Having Windows Mobile 6.1 makes it an easy device to add software, update and synchronise with other apps.
S'pose the only grumble is that the dibber is held externally to the device and the QWERTY is on screen (I'd prefer a hardware variant).
                    N-Joi.

To locate a MAC address, perform the following steps:

                              1. At the main screen, select Menu.

                              2. Scroll to and select Settings.

                              3. Select Wi-Fi and then Available networks.

                              4. Select Options and then View Details.

                              5. Scroll to Handset MAC Address to view your MAC address.

Just got one a few days ago on Orange - works great. I was initially concerned over teh lack of keyboard as I do a lot of email and texts. However, if you select the Samsung Phonepad as your keyboard (can be set as default in Settings), then you get a decent sized keyboard on screen to use. This keyboard will be just like a phone keyboard - plus if you're using Predictive text etc - just as fast.

Anyone know how I can find the MAC address so that I can connect to my wireless router at home. I have MAC filtering witched on in my router.
