I'm out and about a lot though flitting between a couple of houses so think i will go for the 16gig with unlimited internet.
I will have to do some negotiating with orange or just wait for o2 or voda to get the 16 gig. i'm sure it will come eventually. lol
Thanks again

but im just sticking up for common sense. Kia's rides are just as smooth and nice as a BMW's if you have a top of the range one. Ive always thought BMW's have really hard uncomfortable seats and totally lack any kind of character.

still the obsession with german cars considering their record of total unreliability is beyond me. i dont own a kia btw. i own a nokia n95 too so im nothing to do with this debate.

Daymo, 26 Aug 2008Have ordered my Omnia today hopefully for delivery Thursday... moreTo answer question regarding GPS:

I found tom tom pretty hard to use on omnia. The gps signal is always dropping.

I use IGO8 and its fantastic! It picks up the gps satellites in under 2 minutes. I highly recommend that over Tom Tom.

And Samsung omnia has internal gps so you dont have to worry about charges.

Have ordered my Omnia today hopefully for delivery Thursday. Love the look of it but am nervous of how it will work as mixed reviews. One question I have is about GPS. Is it easy to install Tom Tom on this, can this be downloaded from anywhere and if this is used as my GPS does this mean I dont need to use my web minutes. Cheers for any advice.

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2008Hi All, I have one for you, which is best 16gig or 8gig,... moreDear nFmC,

I don't know for sure, but I think it doesn't matter a lot. There will be no big difference because it's a flash memory.
Personal I don't mind, 8 GB is also a lot. But if the price difference is not to big of course I would choose the 16 GB version.

Nella, 26 Aug 2008Try orange Panther plans 40 or 45 as both offer 250mb free ... morethanks for that, it almost fits but i do need unlimited internet as i use phone also to connect my laptop to the internet. Not always in range of wifi! and when i am its usually ultra slow British telecom rubbish!
Virgin is usually fastest but i live in a cable free zone, so the phone has to rule!

                              Hi All,

I have one for you, which is best 16gig or 8gig, i have a lack of tech knowledge but on conventional hard drives 8 gig will be the faster device due to the sytem having less memory to page, i assume omnia is solid state so i don't know if the same is true.
16 gig is a massive amount of memory for a phone so i would guess that if the 8gig is faster and less hangy? this may be the best bet?????
Help not sure which way to go, i can get them both free on either orange or vodafone but i want to get the best one and fastest??

                              Thanks
