It's realy great phone. Apple I phone never compare omnia i 900 is so nice of.5mp camera is wonderful this modal.

this appears to be samsungs answer to apple iphone.is it that silk smooth to operate.it has features superior to the iphone is my first impresion.if the interface and touch is smooth to work it shall be a great hit if priced worldwide at usd 500.

Nothing confirmed about that yet but im pretty sure it will be, god knows how long it'll be before it comes out, it exists since we can see it in the movie but its really still just a rumour just now!

Hi Tim,
Pls stop arguing with someone who wish to have everything at home at their computer desk.
Its lowering your status, from your reply i can see u are good user of wm for which this
phone omnia is now a best choice which some phone cannot compare with but rather stating that they :
1) Dont need bluetooth, rather use computer at home cause scare of being hack..so call..
2) Dont need high end camera cause..he claim that 2mp is enough... wao.. i dont catch him
3) Dont need expansion slot. cause again can use home computer.
All this come to a conclusion, he bring his "computer" together with his phone out everytime... hahahh...
what a laughing stock!
If then go buy a laptop rather than commenting other phone when your phone cant do sample things that
a normal nokia low end phone can do!
such as send MMS to share precious moment, send file with bluetooth.
And pls, if u are really know nothing about phone, pls go read up
and we will be happy for u to carry a
1) High end camera with you when u want to take photo which your iphone cannot cop with the quality
2) Bring your laptop and maybe a low end phone along so u can transfer here and there to send MMS
3) Oops forget u need to bring your charger along if not your laptop will run out of power.

Uk guy confused, 25 Aug 2008ive been reading these comments now for a while and just ca... moreI don´t know what will you decide, but I have both I-phone 3g and Omnia. If you ask me, definitely Omnia. I´ve read all the posts from people who have some problems with omnia, but mine works just great. I´ve purchase mine in USA, software is HG3, like I said, no problems at all.

ive been reading these comments now for a while and just can't decide which is the better phone out of the iphone or the omnia
i want to make a purchase soon but im so undecided on what to buy
i really want the iphone but then do i?
i realy want the omnia, but it doesnt seem as fluent or nice to use, but has extra features on it
if im signing an 18 month contract i want a phone that will serve me well
some help please ppl ;)

Complete waste of time asking Vodafone UK for any sort of deal even comparing with iphone. They are simply unwilling and uninterested in doing business based on a phone where they think demand will exceed supply. As I posted before, watch out if you get an Omnia on a price plan with Vodafone as they will charge you an additional £5 per month to use the Sat Nav, therefore the get the phone free you are looking at a minimum of £40 per month, with a load of bundled add ons which you won't probably use up. So after all the waiting and a great phone trust the UK carriers to offer a crap deal.

There is nothing shallow about appreciating a phone that works smoothly and effortlessly like the iphone. What's shallow is wanting a phone with a bunch of extra features, but does not really perform well and produces compromising results. Go to Omnia forums and see what problems users have with the omnia. Unresponsive screen, lag time, etc... Some people are even complaining that it gives them an error message of insufficient memory when they have not even saved anything, LOL. And before you call me shallow, u may want to preach that to your fellow omnia fans on how they pull down the iphone. So what if the omnia has more extra features than the iphone? It does not make it the better phone. Maybe for people who cannot afford a digital camera it would. But for iphone users, nah, the camera on our iphone is our last resort. We'd rather use a standalone camera and get high quality results than using a camera phone with 5mp. Apple does not compete by packing the iphone with tons of extra features producing mediocre results. It only wants to focus on features that are really useful and provide great results.

No one is stopping you from getting your omnia. It's just funny to read silly comments from omnia fans mocking the iphone, when the omnia cannot even match the iphone's performance and quality. Iphone has a glass screen, omnia uses plastic. Iphone has better mp3 audio quality. Iphone has a half VGA screen, while omnia only has QVGA. Iphone is legible under sunlight, omnia is not. Those are the most basic features of a phone, and omnia cannot even attain a good quality on those features. So they focus on packing the omnia with tons of extra features, LOL.

it seems that you are the first to have started all this yet now you are pointing fingers at others and making so much comments.. its obvious you are the children here..You keep slapping yourself with your own words.. we do make comments about the phone but its you who is the one that keep making unneccesary statement.. Please be more mature in your sentence..furthermore i never said omnia is cheap, my message is that it is value for money rather than cheap..
Hi Irwin, omnia interface is abit lag if too many apps(5 apps or more) are opened and without proper shutdown..or else if one or two apps is opened together, there shouldnt be any problems..
from what i read from forum guess there wil be more later firmware which will actually improved on this..
In my point of view, interface can be improved with latest firmware but specification is something that is not able to be improved on..

I am a Iphone 3G user, and I am ok with the phone, Yes I know its limitations and maybe I should have waited for this.
To the people who have this phone, how is it?
Is the interface smooth, little lag?
From its feature spec, it looks indeed the best touch screen phone.
Just wanted to know from the people who already own this phone.
