My Tips shear for the day…

You can tap the dots at the lower portion of your home screen to jump to the home screen that dot represents (its alot faster than swiping to the left or right) to get the page you want.

You can answer a call with the home key and end it with the power key (this will not turn off the screen) by turning on those settings in…
Phone>menu>call settings>Call answering/ending

If the dialpad wasn’t so lame I would keep it off as well :(

        @ Anthony

        Do this:

        1) Go into S voice and turn ON the option 'Open via the Home key'.
        2) Return to your Home screen.
        3) Scroll across to your 7th screen.
        4) Press the Home key once to return to screen 4. There is a definite lag.

Now turn the above option OFF and repeat instructions 2) to 4). You will see the difference. It is a LOT faster.

Sorry guys/gals for the repeat post below and any repeat post from me in the future.
It happens every time, when I use back key in the web browser on the phone. Keep forgetting that (back) on this does not work the same as a PC.

It said it supports Java via (Java MIDP EMULATOR)
That for java based apps not web sites.

Freefaller, 09 Nov 2012@ Anthony I always turn that option OFF, because if you ... moreLag? How much lag do you get with double tap in svoice on?
I just checked after you said it and 1 tap in an app back to the home screen is 1-2 seconds with the Svoice double tap on or off, for me.
I only suffered with home screen lag and even slow redraw in ICS.
I’m forced to use Svoice a lot because I hate the phone dial pad in this phone.
Can’t do anything in a hurry with it.

Which leads me to rant for the day.

You are in an app and need to make a quick call. There is no dial pad hard key.
So I have to press the home key, then the phone soft key, but that brings up the logs, so I then have to tap the keypad softkey. It annoys me how many steps I have to take to make one call on a “phone”
Svoice double tap is just less frustrating for me to make that call.

Then I end the call to make a next call right after but I have to wait 6 seconds for the redial menu to go away. And not to mention the call wait when I’m using a car kit…..
A call comes in and I’m already on a call, I should be able to press answer and the call is answered and the other call is auto put on hold. But Noooo, even that has been complicated. I say “answer” (to the car kit). and the phone wants to know if to end the first call or put the first call on hold before it can answer the second call. (So now I have to interact with the phone when am trying to use hands free) by the time I get the phone out of my pocket and looking at the road at the same time, the call has already gone to voice mail.
There is no default call voice recorder. I would be ok with that if there was an option to download one in the playstore. But every one I try does not get the other side of the conversation clear. Don’t know if it’s the app or the phone doesn’t have full-duplex drivers for call recording.
Call recording in full duplex is something I could add to my HD2 with drivers form XDA. No lock with this phone.

Now that my bitching is done :) if you know workarounds for any of them, I would love to know.

I always turn that option OFF, because if you press the Home button once then the phone is waiting for the second tap, and that causes a slight lag refreshing the screen (and we don't lag on our phone, do we?).
