s4, 21 Oct 2016No iam android lover .. my question had adressed to all who... more
people want to upgrade their phone but it is best to stay with the factory operating system
just to know it's no ordinary update
first uninstall KitKat os, and install a completely new android 5.0 lollipop
and this process takes 3-6 hours because its size follows;
Android 5.0 (ignoring the SD card) consists of the following 4 partitions:
1. mmcblk0p23, for System, 2.9GB
2. mmcblk0p24, for Cache, 1.0GB
3. mmcblk0p26, for Data (userdata, incl Apps), 10.6GB
4. Swap, 1.2GB (equivalent to the Windows "virtual memory" file, for instance)
Their sum is 2.9 + 1.0 + 1.2 = 5.1GB
Android 5.0 is 5.1GB if you use these "default" partition sizes.
some users have encountered a range of issues,
including freezes, crashes, stutter and lag. In-place upgrades can be the cause of that.
navigating apps can become laggy, probl with Wi-Fi connectivity , battery bug , camera bug , GPS problems , flashlight bug , overheating , performance problems etc.
all these problems after installation should be improved
so I stayed on kitkat and works perfectly, but for that you can go back to kitkat since you have already upgraded the lollipop, should first back up the phone

s4, 20 Oct 2016Omg are u serious right now ?? S4 is already dead becuz if ... more
If the question is addressed to me, here's the answer, my s4 works flawlessly, I personally I refused lolipop update and is working on a kit-kat operating system and works like a Swiss clock without any problems, are with lollipop or marshmallow will give the phone to get something special nooo only it reduced from the internal memory and nothing special, the phone is excellent for 2.5 years of harmony, but if you have a desire for iphone, my friend has a page for him and join you there

iphone is for those who have excess money that they took him, I did not really someone who defends the samsung but it is a shame to pay 1,000 euros for iphone 7, which is the 4'7 '' no 5 '' display, which is standard for this time but not even FULL HD but only 750X1344 HD, 1960mah battery so please for it to pay 1000 euros to the disgrace. here's to compare Samsung s7 edge with 5'5 '' FULL HD 1440X2560 display and 3600mAh battery and cost less than 700 euros. This means that you get with samsung higher quality and still they remain 300 eur. it means iphone like dumb fon , not samsung but smartphone for smarter.

Don't you think that Samsung's top notch products the S and Note range have too many problems. Security updates, firmware take months to over a year to update. After 2 years your phone doesn't receive any security or firmware updates, but if you buy an Apple phone which can be around the same price, 4 years on & your phone will still receive updates? I am thinking of deserting Samsung or android and heading off to Apple. Am really tired of Samsung and the hassles with their software and their belief that you are just a number nothing more.

Sshim, 10 Oct 2016Hi Zimq, You're welcome. This was not a security policy ... moreThanks. It looks like this update was intended for the Indian market only. This is the only downfall of an Android Product. Updates are limited and very Slow. But when you have an empty pocket, it's all one can afford or Apple would be at the top if it's software was open to other makes.

You're welcome. This was not a security policy update. It was a regular OTA Android OS update. I remember seeing performance and security improvements listed among the features of the update. Don't worry. You might get it sooner or later in Zimbabwe too.

Bob, 07 Oct 2016I just got an update.. 403mbHi, was the security update for this model? In which country are you in? Samsung should update all their models automatically in all countries and not rely on mobile operators. Does Apple rely on mobile operators to update their phones?
