Samsung opens reservations for Galaxy Ring in India

Samsung teased its Galaxy Ring in March and took its sweet time before officially announcing the product in July. Three more months later users in India will finally be able to get the wearable as well.

The company opened reservations for the Ring with an upfront payment of INR 1,999 ($23/€21).

The pre-reservation period is ending tomorrow, October 15. Everyone who puts down INR1,999 and claims the wearable will receive a Wireless Charger Duo for free.

Samsung pointed out Galaxy Ring can be used without paying any subscription fee, unlike competitors like Oura, which place some of their top-tier features behind a paywall.

Samsung Galaxy Ring comes in other regions for $399/£399/€449.

The actual price of the wearable in India is yet to be revealed, but the good thing is that those INR1,999 can be refunded if the price tag is too much for some early birds.

Nothing like that, you can get it for $25-$30 everywhere. Only you miss Titanium material otherwise no big difference except the software. Most of the Rings Software are still in their early stages hence you won’t see much difference.

I have ordered One Ring in August first week, still waiting for its delivery though they have sent me the sizing kit immediately. I already have R18 Ring ($25) which is making random numbers and today received an update. I do not see Samsung Ring of ...

On seeing the bland image & knowing the prices, I predict not many will purchase it now. Also, I'm making a prediction:- Future rings will have a display for time & step count. Maybe just 40-50 pixel wide, but yes.
