Why Samsung keep delaying the firmware upgrade to Gingerbread? Why support Samsung if don't upgrade. At least Apple keep it's promises.

for problem regarding wifi connection " obtaining ip address " do the following
just open browser then open your router web page that is for example 1520.---.---.--- this.
thats it u are successfully connected if not then try to reboot router that will do the job

Price in Australia slashed to $298 including taxes for 3g version. Obviously had to get one even though I am an ipad fan. I prefer it in some situations and love the customization and form factor. Very fast and expandable memory is a bonus. Android is a pleasant surprise but had to swap to the gingerbread keyboard. Maybe I'm not such an ipad fan after all....

I owen both IPAD 2 and my Galaxy Tab i9000. What makes my Galaxy Tab special is the size of the Tab. I carry around like a notebook with all my information in my hand.
I see Samsung coming with all different versions and all bigger screen from 8.9 to over 10 inch screen. Hope they do not forget why I bought Galaxy Tab was mainly to the size of the Tab.

a1, 25 Apr 2011please , i need a help .. my tab can't access wifi , when c... moreI was also had this wifi problem, but now i got one solution, go setting - wireless - then on mobile ap for a while then off it. again connect wifi, you will find its connected. I always do this way if any problem

1) To reduce the number of times this message appears, you need to stay connected to the internet. To do this, go to settings > Wireless and networks > WiFi settings > (PRESS MENU BUTTON) > Advanced > WiFi sleep policy (SET TO NEVER). This may consume more battery, but you will not need to do number (2) more often.
2) To let it connect, reset your WiFi router or WiFi range expander. You can also FORGET the network and re connect to it.

so far this tablet got what i need and want. i do not really intend to use it as a mobile device but who knows i might be needing the function if it really requires me. the applications are okay! i just find the auto-rotate too sensitive, but nonetheless p1000 gives me good services ;)
