help me out here buddy..
i have almost zeroed i... moreyes it does void the warranty if u go for firmware upgrades. dats why i personally never opted for it.
no u won't get themes for this fone anywhere. they are not developed as yet. but u can separately change the appearance of every feature in this fone. n some of dem are better than wat u get in downloaded themes.

Hi....Proudly gt this phone some 4 days back...was so excited to have it. Since nxt day problm started....
receiver is not able to hear my voice and after some hours problm gt resolved automatically. Since yesterday again facing the same problm n nt resolved. Dealer says its a software problm...Wat u guys say? Wat can b wrng?
Plz reply at the earliest. 2m I m gng to Samsung Service Station, lets c wat they have to say.

help me out here buddy..
i have almost zeroed in on the star.. (i was initially going for 5130)
just one thing.. if you are installin games on this phone by changin the firmware as u said, will it void the warranty???
my state is similar to kashyap and well u solved it for me anyways.. :-)
but just tjis one/.... n also about theme?? anyways to intall that???
lastly i did go through the eldar murtazin.. the guy rocks.. :-)

cam quality outdoors is better than n73.
indoors with sufficient light, samsung better than n73 (u'll get no grains in the pics).
u'll need the flash of course in low-light condition, but s5230 has no flash.
there are no themes for s5230 though u can customize the look of the set like themes. softwares can't be installed directly. nokia in this field is faaar better.

Kevin, 05 Jul 2009after all the reading ..there's only three things i find ba... moreno max capacity is 8gb (as mentioned in instruction manual and samsung site).
but people have also tried using 32gb and they say it works fine with no issues... courtesy www.mobile-review.com I am a big fan of eldar murtazin's reviews in this site.

after all the reading ..there's only three things i find bad abut this fone...
1.cant add any java games unless you change the firmware(S5230XEIE5-i read dat this ver can install .jar games with one click) or do it the "WAP way"
2.cant install new themes(at least dats wat i think,,if otherwise let me know)
3.the "play and pause" software glitch.(can it be removed by changing the firmware?)
this is a really good fone for this price..and i got one more question..is the memory expandable to 16gb or 8gb?(everywhere it's written differently)

I purchesed it on May 2009, it is very nice phone, music quality great, picture quality great in daylight & powerful light, there are no flash so ni dark picture quality is not so good, battary backup not so good, every day charge is needed. Otherwise Samsung star5230 is good tauch phone.

is mobile memory used to store sms or memory card or both?
is it the typical samsung 200 sms memory or more???
