One more thing, I hope all the 3rd party accesories producer would soon come up with replacement for the vack cover.. Star's with me for only 2 weeks, but the back cover is full of scratches and what-not.

please tell me if this phone can handle 8GB ... moreyes it can handle 8gb card , i am using it. only one thing you have to do, Don't full the card, leave about 50 mb space extra. I have also tried my brother's 16gb,it was good.

Is it normal that when yuo tap anywhere... moreyes silly quirk that happens on my phone as well. I dont like the widget bar coming out when I touch the standby screen. I only want the widget bar to expand from the side when I press the arrow as u say and if some logic was put into the software this is what they would have done in the first place
- also they could have put an option in the settings to disable the widget bar altogether for people who dont want it.
I know it would most probably be mind blowing for a lot of people but I just wish one day these phone manufacturers could just come out with a very comprehensive setup menu where you could enable or disable *every* feature or not I would be in my element then because I could really personalise my mobile how I want to to be. Even if they put a bit in the phone setup for quick setup and extended comprehensive setup this would keep everyone happy.
I would even have a setting where the backlight would come on very dimly but just enough that you can see the clock and date and if anyone called at a quick glance without having to 'wake up' the phone by pressing a button just to look at this info. Because at the moment these phones just have a blank/black screen and you dont know if they are even on when in standby! - sure I suppose it could be argued that then the battery would run down quicker with a backlight on dimly but I wouldnt care, just have to charge it up a bit more often thats all.

Hi... I am from New Delhi India.. I have been on the verge of buying this fone for about two weeks now... Have gone through a lot of reviews and now i hear nokia 5530 will be out in sept (latest) for arounf 14k.. its nokia and it has wifi.. thats not worth 5 k more.. i have a laptop and i can use wifi on that.. BUT thers 2 questions which can somebody please answer?? no 1 IS THERE A STYLUS COMPARTMENT. no 2 If i record a video on the fone does it playback (ON THE FONE ITSELF NOT ON TV OR PC) without being pixalised or in a stopstart kind of thing. is it smooth. It will be fantastic if someone from INDIA who has used this fone can answer... thanx in advance. I dont care much bout video recording but the stylus question is important. I know this is finger friendly and the stylus isnt required but hey its about personal choice. I want a stylus and a stylus compartment in my fone if it is touchscreen. Thans

When u click on the BROWSER icon in the Men... moreI dunno about password for browser I dont think you can. But if you go into settings you can creat a fake profile for the Internet connection by putting in random numbers and info and when you go to connect again it wont connect because the internet profile is wrong for your provider.

One more question:
Is it normal that when yuo tap anywhere on the screen in indle mode, the widget (sidebar) comes out and when u tap it again, it hides again. isn't it that u have to tap the arrow of the widget sidebar to control this?

Need help!!!
When u click on the BROWSER icon in the Menu, the default web page automatically loads. Can we set some security so if the BROWSER icon would be accidentally clicked, phone would ask for some password first before it starts connecting.. This would be helpful because internet connection (WAP, EDGE, etc..) are very expensive.
BUT, overall, this is a very nice phone!!! Good phone actually, both for personal & business functions! I highly recommend this! Hope with this release, Apple, Nokia & SE would re-think their positioning and market their same level models at Star price-range or even lower.. Would not be surprised if this would be a best-seller worldwide.

Hey guys.. i'm back..
Der's one slight problem i've noticed while using Wap.. is dat.. I'm not able to minimise d screen in case i recieve a msg while browsing, i'll ve to terminate d browser n den read d msg.. n den go history n continue browsing.. did anybody find a solution for dat.. coz i'm doin my level best.. how to minimize n maximize d browser...

Quest about Music Formats:
I hv heard from some one that star hv some problmz while playing compressed formats. even mp3. Is that right ?
What are the other formats it can play frequently.
And what about the music player. Is it not user friendly ?. As i hv read some comments.
Pl. comment on clarity of FM radio. What RDS means.

nice trick on d cam part... thanx... gotta try it...
1.yeah the FILE name in MY FILES does not scroll but the FOLDER name scrolls on top of the screen. its a prob wen u have files with big names...
2.again no option to delete videos. we have to select them like we do wen we send files via bluetooth. they should've included the delete option.
