Is it me or does anyone else find it strange that the converter and the world clock and the calculator be found under the organiser section of this phone and not accessed by going to the applications Icon?

hey guys I found a little trick with this phone when taking photos especially when set to night mode or in low light.
you can get much better pictures by using the timer set to 2 seconds as you dont get the 'shake' of when you press down on the shutter button. So, set up your scene, select 2 seconds on the self timer, press the camera shutter button, really hold your phone as steady as you can self timer will count down and will take the photo whilst you are holding the camera very steady. Dont forget to keep holding the phone very steady for a few seconds whilst it takes the photo.
My other camera mobile phone had a stabilizer function and a flash so i didnt have the issue of camera shake. But I find if you use this self timer on the Tocco/star phone you should have much better results in low light/night time pics I know I did.

I've read somewhere that if you do not want to take a certain call, you can silent the phone by turning it around ('turn to mute' function). All I can find is that you can mute it by pressing the volume button for a few seconds.
Does this mean that it doesnt have the 'turn to mute' function?

A couple of questions maybe I am doing something not right:
1) I am looking at 'my files' and the name is not scrolling along to show the full name of the files, so its a guessing game as to what the file name is.
2.) when I am looking at a video (playing it back) there is no option to delete the video if I dont want it. all I have to select at the bottom is 'Fit to screen', 'Send Via' , 'More' but even in the More I cannote find Delete option.

N Samsung Dropped d biggest Nuke ever by releasin Samsung Star at d price unmatchable.. So Bravo., samsung.. i wish they just made one change to d software, n allowed us to install games manually instead of downloadin it from WAP..

Just one thing I need to know guys. In t... moreTo b honest.. i don think d battery will last so long.. if u ask my usage, i call like 10-15mins every day n about more dan 150 texts everyday.. listen to music every now n den, d battery lasts for like 2days till it comes to one chargin point.. so i cant really tel d exact figure ur askin.. but i can say one thing, keep d USB cable provided handy,, as dis phone supports USB chargin, so Laptop can charge ur cell too.. n ya.. da batter is a Li Ion. battery n not a Ni Ion,, like d old nokia phones.. so it can b charged in between n don've to wait till it drains out completely...

i totally agree with u when u say "why they dont go that little bit further with logics to make product even better", but see, we just cant do anything about it......
when i studied all the upcoming phones, i always found that there's that extra bit missing in every manufacturers phone.
see Sony ericsson does not improve their call log (Its limited to 30 only (in high end models also))
Nokia does not make their user interface more peppy, more lively, just a simple way. they cannot eliminnate the delays in symbian S60 OSystems (Check out 5800))
motorola has nothing interesting to offer....
so, we just have to pick the one that suits our req.
And i think Star is very good at that....

Do u know if this phone can handle 8GB cards without getting slow??
I m planning to buy 8 GB card also....

Thats what they are going for in my country. Is it a lot more to ask for a feature of record in 640x480 vide? - no I dont think so.
Could use converter but still comes out blocky and blurry converting from 320x240 to 640x480 and not smooth at 15fps.
look dont get me wrong it is a great phone one of the best I have owned - lots of features. its just when manufactures make something, sometimes you wonder why they dont go that little bit further with logics to make product even better especially when the technology is available for the possibility at hardly any extra cost (or no cost at all!)

for all those trying to update firmware...
well i don't know wat's wrong with ur old firmware... its good and working. and moreover touchscreen phones are really not meant for playing games.
well go forward with it at ur own risk. i called up samsung and they confirmed that firmware upgrade is safe but it shall be taken as software tampering in case ur set is harmed.
and YES UR WARRANTY GETS VOID if u upgrade the firmware (even if the upgrade is successful). and they do check it using ur IMIE code.
anyway i'm happy with my firmware rite now. shall go into playing with this software after 4-5 months.

i give u a suggestion:
record video with the star and use a converter to have the video played back at 640*480 resolution.
if u still r not satisfied... buy a samsung i8000 omnia HD. hehe... simple
