I fix one of this phone and tried to use it for 2 days. I find this phone great, with it's feature.
I love the Full QWERTY keyboard when texting. It just lagged sometimes when you are texting and suddenly you receive a message.
Opera Mini browser works like a charm if you use it on this phone. Plus the Social Networking integration, this phone suites to my interest.
The touchscreen is very responsive. I love it. Plus the battery life is good (atleast for me).
If i only had the budget for this phone i would love to have this one.

for some reason my voicemail sign does not come on when someone leaves me a message, does anyone know how to activate it? also the phone keeps displaying a sim memory full sign on the screen even though theres hardly anything on the sim card, anyone had this problem before?

winny, 13 Jan 2010hey how do i lock messages and photosGo to Menu, settings, security, then scroll down to Privacy Lock and then in there you will find the options to lock a bunch of things on your phone including your messages and photos.

This Samsung star is really an exceptional phone, it has so many features for it's price and it. I've had it for a month now and as far as I know you can't get a new cover for the phone, but you can search a little.
To lock your messages and photoes, go to menu, settings, security, and scroll down to privacy lock and that's where you can lock different things on your phone then you simply select what you want to lock.

that phone is not good at all during the night unless you built a flash in your phone which i highly doubt !!

My Samsung s5233 is not playing flash files. It is saying unsupported file format.

the camera is very good, if you are in a dark place just set it to night mode..
