Have this phone for 2 years, best one i had, everything is great. But obviously as i predicted Bada won't be very successful, so my next phone will be the Galaxy S2 mini (if it ever comes out !). But i am in no hurry to change, cannot see anything to my liking now.

Ie s8530,i9000.i9100 and of course this.All good screened ,good audio/video/cam/battery type smartphones.I dont know what to do i wish the s8500 had a pull out keyboard and Android.
At the moment getting my concert hall settings from sammy g600.I have the money here but what do i buy.
I used the i9000 successfully with darky 9.5 Rom but it had no led flash,so i am just stuck unless they bring out i9100 mini ..

Finally I sold my Wave two days back. It was a good phone. But it had one single moderate firmware upgrade in one year time from bada 1.0 to 1.2, even that isn't much of an upgrade, having T9 Trace and Dolphin 2.2 Web browser is nice, but it's not worth the wait for an one year long update.
Happy journey to the remaining Wave owners, hope bada 2.0 will come someday for Wave S8500.
Going for the GS II i9100 as soon as it releases.

EK, 20 May 2011How long does it take to install Bada 1.2 via Kies? Anyone ... moreIf you have got a good internet connection that is around 2 mbps then it will take 20 min time. but the problem is after updating it does not connect to kies on windows 7.

Wmv, mpg,avi & 3gp are video files that Wave cannot play if you are not going to register to Divx website.
All of these video files will play if you do so.

i just downloaded the video on mobile it shows unsuported video codec, it's in WMV are AVI format pls tell how to open the video......

my samsung wave is most of the time slow in response. or not that responsive as i may say compared to the ones i see on youtube. i dont know if the problem is the os or the phone itself. could anyone help me to fix this problem?

Hi Wave 1 users,
I was on the Samsung Wave forum site earlier (using my phone, connected to WiFi) and clicked on a .jpg wallpaper to download. It gave me a "Unsupported Content" alert. I don't understand why. Any similar experiences?

Samsung bada os is stuck up after 1year, hey samsung where is the successor of wave s8500? now is year2011, galaxy s got successor sgs2, how about s8500?

If the resolution is too high it will not play otherwise it will play in your device. Wave S8500 supports most popular formats like AVI, MKV, WMV, 3GP, MP4, Xvid, DivX..etc. Make sure to register your phone with Divx to play Divx videos

Some cool features are not shown which stand up on comparing with something like Samsung Jet S8000.
E.g.:
Display is oleophobic which means smudge-free.
Primary camera supports slo-mo video recording.
Seconday camera is a videocall camera.
Additional features dont show fake-calls - not generally useful but cool at times :-)
On the minus side, the 2GB internal memory is not all RAM.
