Kies installed on both 7 and XP without glitch, nothing to be configured.
Minor note on 7 - you have to start Kies with admin rights separately to be able to connect the phone inside application.

I upgraded from JEE version.
Haven't noticed much of a difference thus far, minor improvements for example You can choose either wireless or GSm mow as carrier when syncing manually XCH mails.

I flashed to JF2 version yesterday.
DO NOT try flashing when PC runs on Win7, flashing WILL FAIL every time and your phone will not boot up afterward. Only XP SP3 will work for sure, found out that hard way.

So sad for you but you helped the Government. Hope it will redound to us. I downloaded XXJF1 and XEJF1 FW. My experience is the XE FW is quite better. BTW my firmware is XXJEC. I'm tempted to flash to XEJF1. Has anyone tried flashing yet? Those who successfully installed Kies, please, are there special settings to be done? Kies doesn't work in 3 PCs I tried XP, Vista and Win7.

Just retreived my Wave from the courier... Yes! The jack works now. Push it hard Baby till, like someone says down, it 'breaks'. Thank you so much guys for saving me time and money... Salamat... The sound is awesome. Never heard like this before... Give me time and I will try to answer your queries... Right now, no regrets!!!
