Reji George, 02 Oct 2012I am using Wave I since 2010. Its good phone.
Now i am fac... moreyou cant officially update the firmware unless kies support it.. and if you do flash your device, no guarantees it will work perfeect as the factory firmware.. best idea to stick with your current version of bada to make it work flawless..and for camera button, you might need to open the screws on your phone and put some packing under the button to make the contact again between button and the push button on the circuit. to me, if you make your phone work on factory firmware and settings its the best!

bharat, 05 Oct 2012how play store is install in samsung wave s8500.there is no play store.. you just have to use samsung apps. whatever apps they give you for your version of BADA (1.0 or 1.2 or 2.0)

I am using Wave I since 2010. Its good phone.
Now i am facing a problem with the camera. The camera button is not working. I feel it pressed but doesn't take photos. The OS is 1.2 how can I update to 2.0

Nice phone,good screen,sound quality design,and some more. But avoid upgrade to Bada 2.0 if you dont need new software and use it a a base phone. Disadvantages of Bada 2.0 Tiny letters (fonts) for the contacts list so it impossibile to touch a specific letter (you try to touch "P" mostly you manage to touch 2 letters up or down like "N" or "R" )and go to that you have to scroll up or down your list. No messages folders ,inbox,outbox send and drafts.Unfortunately volume is lower now,so you may not hear it when rings.Camera at least for pictures is dissapointing, ok here I rarely use a mobile before for pictures just cameras but for me is unacceptable especially in low light my old U800 samsung has better picture quality.

Really great phone, good for basic function and a few games. Good small size, great screen, light and loud. Great camera and video, especially with bada 2.0 when you can use the key on the screen to take a picture.
Old phone now but still love it, cannot find any flaws.

After more than 2 years of usage I was able to tranfer files to my 2nd laptop. I dont know why the process of Bluetooth pairing is so complicated. It would just not pair with any guy unless the pairing is stored in its list of devices. very strange process.
Anyway the phone is still good , I would say reliable if you need to do basic stuff, Good battery life and yes no Hangs.

Hello Wavers,
After 25 months of usage I found that that Samsung does not care about its customers other than Galaxy S series, I am running away from this useless BADA os , My phone is still a beautiful piece of Shit without any scratches and a gorgeous S Amoled Display.
One more thing guys, dont dare to call a wave as a smartphone, its not and it will never be.
I have bought a ZOPO ZP100 ICS phone and i am enjoying it.
