A cheaper phone got it but the more expensive one doesn't. I just don't get it.

hi guys i just got my wave yesterday and i cant download any IM also samsungs apps has none. i wonder how to download from the web is it even supported ? also does the battery drain fast? plz help me i cant live without windows messenger:( the phone has a good interface but no chat???? i cant believe

noticed changes:... moreThank you for that input especially m4a files.I had tonnes of trouble getting surround effect on a certain android fone,,sometimes it worked then it did not..The reason was the equaliser only supported mp3, but over the past 8years i have changed from mp3 128kb/s in early days with constant bitrate to 96kb/s m4a and other variables inbetween.I do not have all the old cds to put everything in mp3 format.Altho m4a has superb compression and saves disk space my advice is,
Try to make all your files mp3,it will save so much trouble like i have been through.I just look on gsm arena see that the fone supports these files and thought i would be ok,but,all this experimenting over the yerars means my music library is a mess of different formats and kb/s.It has always said that mp3 is the universal format and how right they were.
Anyhow this smartfone has been a brilliant one and one of the best ive ever owned.However Android beckons due to the lack of twitter clients.I am thinking of samsung galaxy 2.

After i went to the espana samsung apps store on the net, and clicked 'GET", it opened KIES, after asking me for my permission, and then in KIES it automatically went into spain store and downloaded the application.
Now when i connected my mobile it told me tht im frm another region etc and it logged into indian app store, but in my downloads NDRIVE espana was there :)
THen i installed it, replaced it with the cracked version dwloaded frm share4u, copied maps and it started well n its a good software, fastes than route66..

Black wave rocks, 23 Feb 2011I have tried video calling with my colleague he is using Ga... morehey i hav heard and seen also in some website that there is some scheme in airtel 3g for samsung wave .it was 12 gb for 6 months at rs 300 total for 6 months.ask airtel and see if dis scheme is there or not.the scheme is for wave,n8,galaxy s and one more mobile.

I'm currently using the 1.2 bada update..
noticed changes:
no LAGs when texting while receiving messages..
the visual changed from blue to black one.
the TIME in the buddy list is corrected.
5.1 channel can't be used while the effects and equalizer is in different modes.
still the equalizer and the effect booster doesn't work in m4a files.

James, 21 Feb 2011Well good for you David you have still the original Wave s8... morejames, samsung wave 1 is already phased out here in the phil. maybe your phone can't be replaced by a new one. the motherboard issue should be replaced by another OEM motherboard.. if the part is still availabe..

The video quality was good not that great
It charges 5p/sec as of now for video calling.
Lot of 3G packs are available.
For the testing purpose I have enabled 8Rs/10MB
And it downloaded at a speed of 395 Kbps while downloading a 3.45 MB file from web.
Browsing is very fast compared to 2G speeds .

1 think i ask for samsung...i hope they know it, and make it done. pliz, in bada 1.2 or whatever bada in future...pliz enable the call recording function like in bada 1.0. it's actually important although not much people use it. second is, please make the browser support full flash... that's all. this phone already great..... great phone. apps is good. dun compare with android and iOS. anythin that is new takes time ...

i am from... moreya r8.just saw airtel site.they hav launched 3g in bangalore,coimbatore and 1 more place (dont remember) .it will be launched in delhi in a week or 2.
but i wanna knw bout the 3g speed in wave.how is it? and wat r d tariffs for month? how bout d video calling?
