Just download Bada 1.2. Unlocked, generic UK version. I'm a happy bunny. Now I just need to spend some time playing with the new features.

Yes it's all good that bada 1.2is out now,but what happend with skype?Everyone forgot for a while about that!?
I don't mind bada it's good,but i really mind the aditude and the custumor care that samsung has with wave owners!!!
I wont sell my wave because it's cool phone,i knew its new but i wanted something new i wanted unexpirienced,but as times comes all i expirience is a few bugs and
not having some basic programs like skype and flash 10,1 that lately i see on phones and not on ours wave!
Come on samsung!If you want to be succesfull hire more programers spend little more money and you can be loved and bought all around the world!!!

The phone is pretty good with BadaOS 1.2. However i have this idiotic problem where i don't see names for received SMS messages. If that same person calls me, i see his/her name. But if i receive SMS, all i see is their number. However if i add +386 in front of the number, i see the name for SMS, but then i don't see the names for calls. This is driving me nuts.
I've been asking everywhere, tried every possible thing by copying contacts, creating them from scratch, moving them, exporting etc etc. Nothing works. Anyone here has any idea how to fix this? Not long ago someone posted some code for a hidden menu with some setting to solve this but the code doesn't work on Wave.

i heard that the Bada 1.2 version of the operating system came out... but in limited countries.. so if that is true well how to get it??? oh and Btw samsung wave is a very neat phone..... but which is better N8 from nokia OR wave s8500 from samsung ???

The phone is good. But still no good apps, no games - just nothing to use with 1 GHz processor. Silly Samsung. Need to work more on BADA.

i having a problem with my new mobile phone model Samsung Wave GT-s8500 Im here in Jeddah and i bought here last week only. My Problem now my mobile is not working, it was happen when i try to upgrade the firmware using the kies software, but it was not completed and its always not completed the downloading.. Please help me sir as soon as possible, my mobile phone is very expensive.

Let me tell everyone something.
Of all the OSes available only a few are refined and truly multifunctional. If an OS is not multifunctional doesn't mean its not smart. Consider the first few iterations of iOS and Android OS. They were too not refined enough then to compete with competition i.e. Symbian and Windows Mobile. Now they have evolved enough to be compared and surpass any other OS. Today we see Windows Phone 7, BADA and others like LiMo in a similar situation. They just need to evolve more to match up with competition. The concern should be whether their developers have enough intentions to take them through. Apple and Google had to make their mark. Now Microsoft too has tgingr to prove. Samsung on the other hand already are leading with Android and they might give us BADA altogether. It is good to see that Samsung has comeup with v1.2 a new device and have upgraded Wave with 1.2 but how long will the BADA 'wave' go. Samsung has a long way to go with BADA but do they have their intentions clear. By the way Wave 1 and 2 both would have been same with any other OS. Samsung's biggest competitor is Nokia. Nokia has only two OSes going Symbian and Meego. This indicate BADA has a brighter future but you never know they might just concentrate on their touch feature phones as a secondary option along with Android and could give up BADA like they have up on Symbian.

samsung must hurry in developing the bada os...im thinking that bada is samsung os and like apple that will serve as trademark for samsung phone...so maybe there is no reason for samsung to abandon bada for sure...i cant wait ...=> wave is still d best for me...
