Anyway just to add to the argument of Bada's OS-ness or smartphone-ness...
It can play audio/video of variety of formats, connectivity is well covered, web browsing is good with flash support, and some real stuff other smartphone OS can do..
And oh, it support hidef vid recording, 5.1 dolby surrond, hdmi output, sd card, copy paste option thru windows file browser in both system and sd mass storage, tethering capability,
And last we have games that requires gpu rendering 3d animation from gameloft, ubisoft etc etc... and it could run a 600-700mb game flaoooowlessly (the settlers - spoofed one), i dont know if these all are still fit within feature phone category...

1)S8500 has a 3.3 inch Super AMOLED screen, whereas S8530 has a 3.7 inch Super-LCD screen.
2) S8500 runs on Bada 1.0(can be upgraded), whereas S8530 runs on Bada 1.2.
3) S8530 has a Swype keypad but S8500 doesnt have that.
How much is the price difference between them at your place???

Finallly Upgrade TO 1.2 with official release,Love the swype,dropdown url bar is not that good wen dolfinning.BTW what is the name of that app program to see ure pc desktopscreen in to my wave??

is bada 1.2 officially launched in India? If yes, (or whenevr it will be launched), will we be able to update without kies...ie. through samsung apps store thru wifi..? any guesses when it will be launched..if not yet launched?

Has anyone tried the SPB TV app? I have downloaded the same but it is not working. Stopping at BUFFERING..
Also, SAMSUNG APPS upgradation is available but can not connect to servers.
Any Geek out there who can help? I am frm India
