I have been using Samsung Wave since July 2010 and I'm very happy with this device. All the features are good especially the built, design and display. But I'm disappointed with the performance of GPS.
I tried to update firmware through Kies recently. I got a message saying to clear memory of 16MB. After clearing all the messages and removing some applications I got the message again. Any solutions please?

bidi, 12 Jan 2011can anyone tell, is it possible to change font size of this... moreunfortunately no, you can not change the font size in this phone. although font size options are available in other basic good phone but not available in this masterpiece, disgusting. wave screen is undoubtdly best in the world. screen resolution is great so small fonts must had look marvelous, specially while reading text messages and you were not required to scroll and scroll to read messages. default message text size is huge and give you a feeling of a cheap basic phone. it is just a waistage of screen real estate and 480 x 800 pixles become useless.
same is the case of phonebook. here also, no font size option. so often you can not read full names. had the font size option be there, you could have adjust more contacts in single frame and less scrolling while finding contacts. it really gives a cheap look to the phone and works like a basic low price handset. so in wave, high resolution is only benificial while browsing and waching movies. I am using this phone for the last 6 months. phone is good but not as good as hyped except design, construction and super AMOLED. it has many flaws and honestly I don,t feel it is a smart phone. there are many people in this form who just can not listen anything against wave, but my friends think rationally. it really neads a lot of upgrades to become great masterpiece and I am doubtfull samsung will ever do it because samsung had very poor customer support history and they rarely fulfill customer demands. so just enjoy whatever you have in your pocket.

Im afraid that samsung will not release any update on it's flash player...also the app store has abundant apps...this really frustrates me..the out of memory problem really anoys me..when your messages are full it always display out of memory..so you need to delete and reboot again.bada is good but updates are poor...hope they work out on its browser..flash player..memory..and most important thing updates every 2 or 3 months..T_T samsung hope your listening!!!!

using opera mini we can download all the files.. provided we should disable auto screen lock so that the java application will not suspend when the screen backlight off

All U guys thinking what to buy then Samsung given The Best Phone in the Market n it is this phone Wave S8500,World Class Screen with Very Fast processor and everythg in this phone is just amazing as I stopped using my Blackberry of 2years and switched to this phone a week bk,I m an Indian and phone is no more available here as they hv brought Wave-2 bt there is a diff as Wave S8500 is Superman n Wave-2 is Super Mario.I purchased phone fr Canada n I m Loving this phone like anythg its a Gods wonder.

A total of 955. I haven't reached yet the measly 1,300 messages capacity and that annoying message is already bugging me.
Samsung Wave's limited message capacity is very pathetic. Hope Samsung could fix this. Make it unlimited.
Saving messages to the memory card is for archival only, it's not listed as part of the Conversations.
