I did... moreDude,
Wait for the Bada 2.0 update and sell it immediately.I dont see Bada releasing any apps for its OS soon. This are all strategies for Samsung to bring in Tizen quietly so that people dont freak out when they hear that Bada is no longer active. This is the same strategy used for Samsung Star,Jet,Star 3G.These phones are no longer being manufactured and there are no apps for these phones.
Why will anyone stay on Bada except for those people who just wanna show they have a smartphone in hand but there is absolutely no use of it.

One of the best phone by specification which was really neglected by samsung ...i dont know why the f**k they released bada os without giving proper support t its first ever bada phone...lack of apps ,, no official update to bada 2 ...made a very good phone...t a big flop...if samsung is goin t continue the same...Bada is gonna be a big flop...! Already Android dominates the market...Bada is no where now...soon it will disappear

I hope you enjoy your new phone
I did the same mistake as yours I bought the wave on july 2010 after I believed samsung lies about getting 10000 apps by the end of 2010 and bada 2 in early 2011 but till now nothing happen only stupid apps and repeated ugly themes.
but my problem now is no one wants to buy the wave because I am an honest man so when the possible buyer asks me about whither the famous iphone apps are available on bada my answer always no so the buyer discovers that the wave is not a smart phone and asks me to sell it cheap :-(

This is a fact.
There are 9600 apps, out of which 5546+271 are themes and ebooks respectively. How can these be treated as apps?
Samsung Apps and Samsung Bada OS have been duping people for the past 2 years. The fact is Bada is a big failed attempt and Tizen is being brought to cover up for this failure.
Please dont compare Android and iOS with Bada. Its a shame. There is not even one app that we can be proud of,in Bada OS.
I was using Samsung Wave S8500 since July 2010.I sold it yesterday after getting tired of waiting for the Bada 2.0 update.
Reasons what made me to sell of this phone:-
1.No software for editing of Docs(Free Apps)
2.Basic apps like Angry Birds are charged(All other OS are giving it free of cost)
3.No Navigation app and everytime you update your OS, you need to inform the Route 66.
4.Latest Google Maps is available free of cost with Voice Guided Navigation and updates on Android. You need to wait for Bada 2.0 to enjoy.
5.GPS takes atleast 10-12 minutes to lock the location on Bada.It takes a minute on Android, iOS, Windows,Symbian or Blackberry. This is an absolute shame.
6.No VOIP till date. This is an insult for any OS.Why is Bada called a smartphone?
7.There are no stable messenger apps(Yahoo,Gtalk,MSN,FB).All of them on Bada either crash or make the phone to restart again.
8.All the games that were initially given free of cost are now either deleted or charged exorbitantly.
9.Developers from companies like Talkatone, Whatsapp,Skype have shown the least interests in creating an app for Bada.
10.The last date for ads on apps given to developers for getting their revenue is May 2012, which means, apps will be out only in Q3 or Q4 of 2012.
11.There were only three minor updates till date of Bada since 2010 namely Bada 1.1 and Bada 1.2. This is not how an OS should be improving itself.
12.Battery of this phone has drained out in 6hrs flat because of using Kint Messenger, watching Youtube for 45minutes and making 1 hr of calls.
I have moved on to HTC Sensation.I got these apps instantly and free of cost and I am enjoying it thoroughly.
Whatsapp,Talkatone,Google Maps,Skype,Angry Birds,Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Need for Speed Shift,Shazam,Vlingo.
I updated my phone from Android 2.3 Gingerbread to Android ICS yesterday.Totally worth it!

Bada 2.0 has transformed this phone..it has finally become,,worth a comment on GSM.
battery life isnt great..but battery life on iphone etc is shocking too.the screen and interface is amazing, everyone i know comments on the quality of the screen, ive had this phone 18 months now,and the screen looks like new, and its only after bada upgrade that it has came to life..great phone and the only downside is that android software isnt compatible. well done samsung for Bada 2.0 ..oh and about time..!!!!

I want to correct somthing I saw it posted here regarding the battery life in bada : it is good but not excellent because if u use the net through wifi u will be lucky if u get 4 hours and for heavy graphic games 3 hours of praying is the maximum.but if u avoid these u can reach 2 days of normal use.

Caprice, 28 Mar 2012Can the phone support the PDF application? because i wanna ... morebada os supports pdf files but it can not open large files and unlike android bada does not support adobe reader(the best pdf reader) bada uses picsel and polaris to open pdf both are no match for adobe . samsung wave has only 256mb of ram so can not do real multitasking it tends to close your open apps without permission even it closes the widgets. so if u are a professional user do not buy a bada os phone.
my advice to every wave user :bada os is dead so stop waiting for the too late updates and carry on your lives by buying a real smart phone (iphone, windows phone, android,or even symbian)
