samsung service center is very bad compare to nokia service center...i told those service center guys that my bettery cant reach a whole day....but tehy dont replace the bettery....samsung service center is worst..

    every thing is awesome except battery backup..i'm totaly fade up with this thing...even my old poor nokia5800 still gve me 2days with heady use....but in case of wavetalking 20-30 minutes ,playnig game about 15minit.surfing net about 30 ninit and listening songs about 40 minit...the phone cant reach a whole day..its hurt me a lot... thatway i cant proper use my wave...

It has to do with changing some registry entries. Google it. That way you can change your FW officially, without using multiloader.

            I bought my wave from hong kong, I never updated through kies and from memory I had XXJEE on my phone before I flashed the european 1.2 firmware onto it.

                Just want to check with you is your bada 1.2 is from European region ??

                  pros and cons of bada 1.0.2

                  Pros:
                  1.Bluetooth head set works when playing movie via Allshare.
                  2.Wifi icon on top shows proper signal strength.
                  3.Direct messages added in account sync
                  4.Software update on Air

                  Cons.
                  call recording gone
                  wmv support for Allshare gone

                  any one have found out anything else

                    phones fan, 03 Dec 2010you can do all that on the wave but can you tell me what is... morehello phones fan, i've said it before, i want wave because of what i think could be a great media playback experience coupled with what can be considered an amazing hardware. It's my first time to jump on touchphones and it seems that it is a good choice to start. I'm currently using nokia. And i really love symbian i admit, and sometimes it makes me think twice whether to abandon the platform or not. But the numerous negative feedbacks about nokia touch phones scared me. I first consider n8, but after waiting for it's launch, all i see are people complaining for numerous problems i might've encountered myself if i decided to preorder.

                    But yes, those problems i enumerated last time bug me. However, it's good to hear that there are solutions to that problems from third party apps. Another is the fact that wave gets older and older as we speak. I'm afraid that a new better solution from bada platform might come next day after i decide to purchase. Wave 2 could be it, if not for its downgraded display.

                    If i'm going to answer on what attracted me 'the most' on wave is because it's still number 1 on user ratings. That could mean something.

                          plz read all the instructions carefully before proceeding and do it on your own risk !!!!!

                          First of all you have download bada 1.2 with and multiloader from http://www.multiupload.com/8P155MOV1J

                          the battery life will take a small hit when upgraded to bada 1.2 and ur warranty will go for a toss as ,Only official updates thru KIES continue to have warranty.
                          also now the low battery warning is on 5% not 10%.

                          charge the battery fully before flashing
                          plz backup all your contacts,messages,videos,photos by using kies and also make a note of the apps that u installed or else u will lose ur data.
                          also it is good if u make a note of the bluetooth and wifi mac id:- with the imei no.
                          also make a backup of the route 6 gps data and do not format the memory card as it contains the gps data.
                          check for any *#7465625#- phone lock status,if any lock is on then do not flash
                          remove the sim and the microsd card
                          make sure u have a computer with power backup and close all the programmes until the flashing is finished.

                          1.Unzip the downloaded .rar file(password is:-samfirmware.com)
                          2.open extracted folder
                          3.open Multiloader (Run as administrator if you are using Vista or windows 7)
                          4.select LSI
                          5.Check Full Download (Do not check Boot Change cause it may gives some serious problem if you didn't flash properly)
                          6.Click Amss button and select amss.bin file from extracted folder..
                          7.like this select all files
                          8.Apps - apps_compressed.bin
                          9.Rsrc1 - Rsrc_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.rc1
                          10.Rsrc2 - Rsrc2_S8500_Open_Euro_Common(Low).rc2
                          11.Factory FS - FactoryFs_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.ffs
                          12.CSC - CSC_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_OXA_XXJID.csc
                          13.SHP APP - ShpApp.app

                          14.Power off your phone(Wave)
                          15.connect your phone to pc using Usb cable provided with Wave..(Make sure that samsung kies installed on your pc).
                          16.Press and hold the following keys to enable Download mode
                          (Down Volume key, Lock button, End key(Power on or off button))
                          17.Now the phone will turned on with Download Enabled mode.
                          18.On the pc the driver will installed if it is not already installed.Wait until it finishes the installation process of Driver
                          19.Now press "Port Search" button on the Multiloader window
                          20.then it will show the Ready status if the driver installed properly(means the phone is connected properly)
                          21.Now press Download Button. It will start the flashing procedure. wait for 5 to 20 minutes( Approx)
                          After completing the flashing process the phone will restarts automatically.and then u will get a blue screen with some codes and again the phone will restart automatically.
                          22.Disconnect the Usb cable.
                          23.after u successfully install the new firmware hard reset by using *2767*3855# and then the phone will boot.
                          24.use this tutorial to update the camera firmware-

                          25.then change to cp UART (full power) or ap uart (powersaver) modes via *#8740# as u like
                          28.reinstall the contacts,messages, appps and other backup data through kies.
                          26.lastly check if bluetooth,wifi or imei id's are changed or not.
                          27.download the latest route 66 maps or use the free version u already downloaded:-
                          1) download route 66 sync on http://www.66.com/route66/inde...mp;catid=255
                          2) Run the installed program.
                          3) Connect your phone to your computer with a USB data cable and switch your phone to "Mass storage" mode. You can do this by going to "Menu > Settings > Connectivity > USB" and by subsequently

                          selecting "Mass storage > Set".
                          4) In the program, select "STORE > ROUTE 66 Store". Identify which products you need and add them to the shopping cart.some will be free.
                          5) When all products are in the shopping cart, select "Checkout".
                          6) Disconnect your phone from your computer.
                          7) Start the navigation application on your phone by selecting "Navigation" in the main menu.

                          note- If it gets stuck on the bada screen when it restarts take out battery and then it will restart and work properly.
                          note-if u cannot connect to kies then (Click KIES on the top left side and select Driver Recovery..)
                          note-to increse ur battery life ,simply close all the apps and widgets and then go to menu---settings---about phone---system info--cpu
                          (check for the cpu usage in ideal if it is not 1% then restart ur phone ur battery life will incerase)

                                      I'm currently downloading the bada 1.2 files and have decided to update the fw of my phone manually using multiloader, but before that I have 2 questions especially to those who have already updated their firmware to 1.2 (esp. UK residents)
                                      1. I'm from the Philippines. Will there be a problem if i upgrade my unit's fw? I mean will there be compatibility issues? (though i know im taking risks of doing it, I decided to gamble coz kies sucks big time! no update still after 5 months of using the phone.

                                      2. 194 mb is the file size of bada 1.2. Is it the fulldownload file. I need someone to verify this. pls.

                                      Whatever assistance you can provide to me regarding those queries will be greatly appreciated.ty in advance.
