Wave Rocks, 22 Nov 2010what is your view on WAVE II?
apart from larger screen any... moreone thing the multimedia part is the best part in wave.sound quality,video quality is the best..very smooth,browsing is also good,contact sync with facebook n twitter is easy but u have to know some tricks to avoid memory errors..and i cant configure push email i n my wave till now..:( except that everything is the best..n8 cant play hero of sparta smoothly while wave is playing hero of sparta 2 hd(200 mb) smoothly,and also other games like nova,sandstorm,gangster etc..
wave can play avi,divx,mkv,mp4,wmv very smoothly
and i dont know about wave2 as it is not released yet..

someone here said WAVE II is slower for surfing the net!! eventhough the processer will be the same as WAVE I, but somehow slower!!
anyone knows more about this?
funny I have seen many many phone out there still for me WAVE IS THE BEST, beyond any question, if you are not a heavy apps user (which I am not) this phone is simply second to non, it eats i-phone live.

Wave Rocks, 22 Nov 2010thanks for the question mainly because I would like to be ... moreno i dont have a specific answer neither neone else bcz..we r only expecting to get flash 10.1 on bada 2.0 even i heard bada 2.0 will b having something big like video animations etc..so we r jst expecting..n i see internet videoes on my computer mainly,.but i saw a few videoes on from youtube on my wave..and i never had a prb..

mainly because I would like to be able to play all the internet video's as I like them,and as you know everything is changing to 10.1, I believe wave has version 9 of flash!! meaning soon you wouldn't be able to play anything as you browse

fellow wavers.. i need help. i think my tiki surf app is infected with virus. it has an update that frequently appears every time i access my samsung apps. i want to delete this app permanently or perhaps stop the never-ending updates. ill appreciate it very much if someone can give a tip on how to solve this. thanks in advance fellow wavers.

Wave Rocks, 22 Nov 2010No one here have this problem so it must be your computer mate!some ppl here n in galaxy s forum is complaining about kies n wifi prbs..but neider me nor my frnds having this kind of prbs..dont know y they r having prbs!!from the first day im using kies and it runs perfectly..the only prb is activesync its altime saying "network unavailable" domnt know y..but contact sync with facebook and twitter is working perfectly..

got inactive on this forum for some time now..
one problem: am not able to download apps from kies onto the phone for quite some time now.. the error comes that server cannot be contacted, this that..
don't know what the problem is.. its working through wi-fi though.. deactivated firewall and antivirus, but to no avail..

I have installed the KIES in my laptop (Windows 7 OS)..but my kies not supporting the Samsung Apps.
After selecting Samsun Apps button in Kies, the Apps gets displayed & then suddenly it shows Error - "The server commitd a protocol violation. Section=Responsstatusline"
Any one have any idea to solve this...

install method for paid apps for free (example- as nfs instead of AR defender):
1. Connect your WAVE to PC, run KIES Wave and install free app game ARDefender on your memory stick.
2. Disconnect and connect in "removable drive" mode, then using Total Commander go to Other - @ bada applications @ - fy7tnltk5e.
3. Delete the folder and copy mine fy7tnltk5e from the RAR archive.
4. Disconnect and using ARDefender shortcut u can now NFS Shift.
5. Play.
find all the apps at the torrent site,just type bada in the torrentz.com

plz read all the instructions carefully before proceeding and do it on your own risk !!!!!
First of all you have download bada 1.2 with and multiloader from http://www.multiupload.com/8P155MOV1J
the battery life will take a small hit when upgraded to bada 1.2 and ur warranty will go for a toss as ,Only official updates thru KIES continue to have warranty.
also now the low battery warning is on 5% not 10%.
charge the battery fully before flashing
plz backup all your contacts,messages,videos,photos by using kies and also make a note of the apps that u installed or else u will lose ur data.
also it is good if u make a note of the bluetooth and wifi mac id:- with the imei no.
also make a backup of the route 6 gps data and do not format the memory card as it contains the gps data.
check for any *#7465625#- phone lock status,if any lock is on then do not flash
remove the sim and the microsd card
make sure u have a computer with power backup and close all the programmes until the flashing is finished.
1.Unzip the downloaded .rar file(password is:-samfirmware.com)
2.open extracted folder
3.open Multiloader (Run as administrator if you are using Vista or windows 7)
4.select LSI
5.Check Full Download (Do not check Boot Change cause it may gives some serious problem if you didn't flash properly)
6.Click Amss button and select amss.bin file from extracted folder..
7.like this select all files
8.Apps - apps_compressed.bin
9.Rsrc1 - Rsrc_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.rc1
10.Rsrc2 - Rsrc2_S8500_Open_Euro_Common(Low).rc2
11.Factory FS - FactoryFs_S8500_Open_Europe_Common.ffs
12.CSC - CSC_S8500_Open_Europe_Common_OXA_XXJID.csc
13.SHP APP - ShpApp.app
14.Power off your phone(Wave)
15.connect your phone to pc using Usb cable provided with Wave..(Make sure that samsung kies installed on your pc).
16.Press and hold the following keys to enable Download mode
(Down Volume key, Lock button, End key(Power on or off button))
17.Now the phone will turned on with Download Enabled mode.
18.On the pc the driver will installed if it is not already installed.Wait until it finishes the installation process of Driver
19.Now press "Port Search" button on the Multiloader window
20.then it will show the Ready status if the driver installed properly(means the phone is connected properly)
21.Now press Download Button. It will start the flashing procedure. wait for 5 to 20 minutes( Approx)
After completing the flashing process the phone will restarts automatically.and then u will get a blue screen with some codes and again the phone will restart automatically.
22.Disconnect the Usb cable.
23.after u successfully install the new firmware hard reset by using *2767*3855# and then the phone will boot.
24.use this tutorial to update the camera firmware-

25.then change to cp UART (full power) or ap uart (powersaver) modes via *#8740# as u like
28.reinstall the contacts,messages, appps and other backup data through kies.
26.lastly check if bluetooth,wifi or imei id's are changed or not.
27.download the latest route 66 maps or use the free version u already downloaded:-
1) download route 66 sync on http://www.66.com/route66/index.php?cid=US&act=1&catid=255
2) Run the installed program.
3) Connect your phone to your computer with a USB data cable and switch your phone to "Mass storage" mode. You can do this by going to "Menu > Settings > Connectivity > USB" and by subsequently
selecting "Mass storage > Set".
4) In the program, select "STORE > ROUTE 66 Store". Identify which products you need and add them to the shopping cart.some will be free.
5) When all products are in the shopping cart, select "Checkout".
6) Disconnect your phone from your computer.
7) Start the navigation application on your phone by selecting "Navigation" in the main menu.
note- If it gets stuck on the bada screen when it restarts take out battery and then it will restart and work properly.
note-if u cannot connect to kies then (Click KIES on the top left side and select Driver Recovery..)
note-to increse ur battery life ,simply close all the apps and widgets and then go to menu---settings---about phone---system info--cpu
(check for the cpu usage in ideal if it is not 1% then restart ur phone ur battery life will incerase)
