i have 8500 too...do you know it have shorten display light life which Samsung is fixing in i9000Galaxy?...and Wave 8500 have memory processing problem...says NOT ENOUGHT MEMORY-CLOSE SOME APLIVATION?-that means Wave 8500 cant run 2 programs in same time without any warning message about having not enoudht memory...and this!!!!Samsung S8500 Wave Comes with features micro SD- The Samsung S8500 Bada Wave is finally hitting the shops but there seems to be a problem. The micro-SD cards that ship along with the Samsung S8500 Wave package seem to be infected.
Samsung S8500 WaveThe S8500 Wave ships with a 1GB micro-SD cardmicro-SD card which accidentally has a malware program called slmvsrv.exe on it. It is a self replicatingself replicating virus known as Win32/Heur and appears with the AutorunAutorun.ini file.
The virus will begin auto installation when it is inserted into any PC having the autorun feature enabled.
This does not seem to be just a specific unit problem and may be a problem with most handsets. We are hoping to hear an official statement from Samsung either confirming or denying this. source

KSR, 14 Nov 2010I want to share one gr8 quality I have observed in WAve's m... moreAnd you think it is a great quality? Of course the flash must have lower power when using Macro mode, that is just basics. But what is bad is that the flash has not low power in standard mode when the subject is close, and then it makes the picture all white. That is a bug in Wave camera, hopefully will be corrected in Badba 1.2

nokia n8 is nothing compared to samsung wave!:)only the 12mp camera n lag lag n lag..wave is the best phone on its price range..now wave 2 is coming but missing "superamoled".instead it will b having s-lcd or super clear lcd and a bigger 3.7' screen.price will b 25000.:.:Owe r lucky to get wave at approx 18k..

GrimReaper, 14 Nov 2010i have a question. could wave theoreticly record in 1080p, ... moreFor recording 1080p videos, theoretically u need atleast a 8 MP camera. So theoretically wave can never record videos at 1080p. Bt heck, who needs 1080p, for me even 720p is more than enough. I record most of my videos at 480p.
Though u must know one more ultimate thing that WAVE meets all hardware requirements to play 1080p videos so may be some day u will get to see it.
Bt the kind of software support samsung is known for, i suspect that day would ever come. Just see the kind of softwares chosen by sammy in the bada developer contest. Seriously disgusting!
Also i dont find many useful softwares in the application store. Most of them are garbage. But still i love my WAVE. So i would love the day when a phone would be called a WAVE KILLER!!! And lets agree to the point that N8 can never be a WAVE KILLER. Be it with the so called SPB SHELL or whatever it is. It might add eyecandy but what about speed and performance???
I suggest and request all guys and gals to use this term WAVE KILLER in there posts as frequently as they can, whenever mentioning a phone which comes anywhere near Wave specially in this price range. Only then it will truly be GLORIFIED.

Im also waiting to buy this phone since last one month,the same reply was given in chennai mobile showrooms,that the model has been stopped,but in samsung showroom i got an info that it will be released again on nov 25 with upgrades,so eagerly waiting for the launch and counting the days with amount ready in cash.do kindly inform me if u get any info regarding the sales of S8500....

1.It has WIFI tethering inbuilt and N8 has to add some silly software like joikusoft.HAHAHA(JOIKU -HAHAHAH).
2.It has a better video recording HD at 30fps .Poor thing N8 doest hav the guts to play at 30 fps.HAHAHA
3.Super AMOLED in wave.Poor N8 has AMOLED.HAHHAHAHA
4.Better sound quality and quantity in wave.
5.1 GHz processor in wave.Poor N8 has 667 Mhz.HAHAHAHA
6.More ram in wave.
7.WAve is thinner.Poor n8 is fat and ugly.
8.Full matellic body in wave.

Wave is a joke compared to NOKIA N8. N8 offers free hotspot through Joiku, a better camera, true multi-tasking, all the important apps, and with the SPB shell the same pretty interface. Check it out...

Hi,Im from India,and a great fan of samsung wave S8500,after long analysis and clarificatios i decided to buy this master peice from samsung,but the time wen i approached the mobile stores ,they gave me the reply that this model is stopped and even enquired samsung showroom in chennai,they gave me a reply that this model is stopped bfore 40 days and will be released again on nov25 with some upgrades,can anyone tell is this info true,because im waiting for this mobile and my mind is not switching to buy any other mobile currently,will be very thankful if i get a positive and correct reply

samsung wave is the best superior smartphone.. guys vote 10-10-10 this phone is great no one can beat samsung wave... even thought n8 has 12MP but poor resolution.. watch the video.. im planning to buy n8. but when i saw that video i changed mind, i will buy wave next month.. Good Job samsung is the best...
