Anonymous, 24 Oct 2010Yes it should and after one hour it should show 99%Oh man. Yeah, I guess I got a lemon. My battery decreases 1% every 10 minutes it seems. When I play a game for 15 minutes, it goes down just by that much (from 90%-87%). Man, I better get this thing checked. For anyone else purchasing their Wave's in the Philippines, be wary of your batteries.

Thanks for the help dude.

iiwaver, 24 Oct 2010@ saurav y r u in wave discussion forum, whn u hate it..... moreWhen did I say I hate it? I hate them who always intend to say bada is superior than Android. And N8? Its a POS.
And playing games in a Cell phone? You gotta be kidding me. I have my i7 950 for that. However, I played Nfs Shift and Asphalt 5 for enough time. So what? It shouldn't be a big issue to anybody. Afterall it's a darn Mobile phone. Do you even have a PC in home?
I am in my home, don't worry about that. KID.

I've had my Wave for a week now. Everything seems great, but my biggest problem now is the battery life and the battery itself. After doing a full charge of my battery, I immediately turn it on and the indicator says 95%. Is this normal? Shouldn't it say 100%? Do I need to go to Samsung and get the battery replaced?

Please share your insights/suggestions. I really hate the battery of this phone now.

                        Hey guys,
I really found Samsung Wave interesting. I checked the technical specifications of Samsung Wave. I found Samsung specified Wave's Messaging (SMS) memory only 1000. How a phone having such a great hardware will have so less amount of messaging memory?

Anyone using Samsung Wave? Can anyone tell me how much messaging memory it has? I am txt addict, so 1000 messages will simply not be enough for me. I text a lot (you can say 500-700 texts daily ) that's why if it has less messaging memory, it will not be my choice at all. :( :( :(

Okay you wanna hear glitches of Wave, here it goes..
1- Samsung Apps, this app store is a super joke.
2- Google Maps? Ooops, superior bada can't support it.
3- You have an email with 5mb or more Pdf attachment? Sorry buddy you have to find another phone.
4- Skype? bada is too smart for it, right?
5- You can't have more than 1300 messages. Lol
6- No Hot Swapable Memory Card. So old aged.
7- Won't download maximum files from in built browser.
8- Full flash support is not there.
9- Multitasking? It should be called half multitasking, you open Calculator, Calender and other stuffs, one will get closed.
10- In low signal or average signal areas Wave has no signal, my Nokia 1200 has better reception than this.
11- No Speed dialing. So smart.
12- You can't set a Ringtone or Wallpaper from Memory card, it copies it to Phone memory. Disgusting waste of memory.
13- 5mp Camera? It's an Average one. No where near best.
                          14- I am bored typing.

                          Regards.

Yes you are right, laptop is more useful surfing the net than using any phone, but we are talking cellphones here.

                              Your comparison is not just.

phones fan, 24 Oct 2010lesson kid please sell your wave because you don't deserve ... moreI don't agree with what you said about symbian. However, just like you, i'm also amazed with bada. I'm currently both symbian and bada fan :)

But for the sake of depending 'the ocean' from closed-minded people who continuously pollute it, i will cheer for you! Go phones fan!!! >.<

The OS i don't prefer as of now are IOS and WP7(the former's retardedly restricted and the latter's un-functional imho)

I like bada because i can see so much potential in it. I don't have such high hopes on bada at first but it still manages to impress me! I can see myself not ever being disappointed with bada once i jump ship and continue to ride it in the long run(i'm currently onboard symbian) that is, with me taking the fact that bada is still a young ship.., OS i mean. XD

I'm leaving symbian because i think it's currently not on good shape. And i also want to try something new and interesting. Bada seems to be the best choice.

Android, however, has a lot of hype surrounding it, which repels me away from it i don't know why. Maybe because i know 'somehow' that i will be disappointed. Like for example, i just recently know that android can't install on memory cards until froyo. I'm afraid that i will get disappointed because i demand so many functions from an OS. Android remains to be the third choice if bada and symbian never existed, or if both OS sucks big time which is far from reality.

I'm discovering bada, through my constant research i realize that most of the OS' shortcomings can be easily filled up by my efforts(i'm willing). Like for example, the inability to download unsupported content is not much big deal since opera mini is there. And samsung is really showing support for it's own OS, the 1.2 update is a proof. Till the time comes it will mature as an OS, and all the shortcomings will be solved by the firmware itself.

Bada got a new supporter. I'm not going to claim that's it's the best OS atm. But i'm sure that it can be, and i will follow its future improvements, just like what i did with symbian back then. :)

Not to mention the value for money s8500 offers, i'm sold! :D

Things can change, though. Technology is constantly evolving. Wave is my motivation as of now, that's why i'm here in the first place. Got to study more to impress my parents so they can get me wave, or wave 2 or 3, yay! As long as it's bada.

Talking solely about wave S8500, my dilemma between RGB and RGBG is still not over. Feel free to bother too.
