Guys... go for wave dont miss this opportunity to achive a personal super computer and i got my wave last week and i realise that this is the phone that i was waiting for dont think about it just buy it.................NOKIA have some sleep coz u cannot beat samsung any way......

Getting an error installing the latest version of Kies. It says, Mainstage Error. Any solutions? I want to make use of syncing the device with my PC already.

What i don't like much about wave is the screen's pixel layout. It uses pentile subpixel RGBG instead of RGB. The pentile layout decreases the interpolated resolution from 480x800 to 392x694(?). Making it harder to read text at a small size because of pixelated effect. But super amoled has the upper hand in viewing photos and watching videos because of it's high contrast ratio, and saturated colors, making the display pop out.
I just wanted to ask, do you guys experienced browsing the net and be able to read the text without zooming in? The real RGB 480x800 lcd can do that. And one more, does it look like there's a mesh covering the screen?
Guys, should i wait for wave 2? It's expensive, i know, but it uses super clear lcd instead of super amoled, which, despite of being not a true RGB, has an excellent sunlight legibility. I want to experience SAMOLED, but i'm afraid i may not like it because i surf the net a lot and web pages are usually with white background, which makes oleds a power hungry hardware. And of course, because of the earlier point i discussed.
I hope the future SAMOLEDs will use the RGB layout instead. Just like the legend's AMOLED. RGB offers a smoother, sharper, crisper viewing experience.

Hi Folks,
This is very unfortunate but this is how it is.
Yesterday i checked for S8500 in 12-15 different retail outlets in Bangalore(INDIA),none of them were keeping the stock of the phone.
The interesting thing is all of them were kinda proud/in teasing mood to say "NO" for the wave.
A'ho**s at Univercell added that Samsung ran out of the AMOLED screens for the phones and they've stopped the phone.
Few added there are issue with the phone heating up badly and because of that "Samsung Stopped the phone".
Well this doesnt end here.. A retailer in Jayanagar 7th block had the stock and offered the phone for 18500+VAT(5%)= 19425.
I am very disappointed with all this bullsh**t,
If anybody in Bangalore who knows where the phone is available at the regular price and updates the same i'll appreciate that very much.
Hope samsung folks may see this post and do something about it.

This phone has wolfson dedicated music chip wm8994 ,but also 3d graphic chip powervr sgx 540 with score of 90 million triangles/sec...he leaves ps1, ps2 and psp behind.
this phone is freaking monster in beautiful steel case.you should try music on some quality headphones and you will throw your i pod away.this phone eat all other phones alive.you must try this phone and see the power and the speed that is beyond your imagination

hi guyss i buyed my wave frm ggn and i upgraded the firmware to jh1 is it the latest one in india when is the lastest firmware goin to cum in india i have the latest updated kies .it doesnt show that upgrade firmware as an note i checked it manuaaly clicking on the icon but its sayin the device connected has latest firmware DD JHI S-8500 is it something wrong with my wave or the new firmware is coming SOON PLZ GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!! NEED URGENT HELP PLZ PLZ
