deep, 17 Oct 2010i hav tetherd bsnl 3g by both mobile ap and usb tethering..... morehi deep,
my prob is whenever i switch on mobile ap it says unable to access packet data.In mob ap settings i keep the tethering in on mode. Can u explain the mobile ap settings u made. It would be of great help. thanks.

i bough my wave two weeks ago.. but last week when i was trying to connect my phone as a mass storage, my laptop could not just find my device!Oh my.. its only charging it self though i set the phone on a mass storage set up.. has anyone experienced this incident before? please do advise.. Many thanks!

The phone is great and works perfectly well with the latest sofware, updated with Kies without any pb. For the next update with Bada 1.2, don't see the need to use uploader and lose everything in the phone. Will just wait fot the Kies update next month...Superb job from Samsung

this phone is amazing in every aspect except the flash becoz its nt realy working since its flash 9 and all the sites i have visited r using flash 10 so this phone cnt run them

I see everyone here updates their firmware through multiloader and non-official means. I don't want to void my warranty or brick my new phone. Is it safe to get new firmware from Kies? I've also read complaints about Kies not working? What would you advise me to do? Or...do I even need to update my firmware? I plan to install Kies, then update my firmware tomorrow.

Samsung knows that nobody would spend a fortune on Bada powered phone if it costs in the range of Galaxy S. In a couple years of time, Bada will replace the Android OS on Samsung's high end phones.

whats the problem with my i780, recently, my battery drains in less than 2 hrs. i notice my phone is hot which is unusual. will appreciate if anyone can help explain. my phone is 2yrs old. tnx.

The installation discs for the software included are in small CD-format. My notebook has a slot-loading optical drive so it can't read those. What do those installation discs contain? And can I download them online (the real, official versions, not some megaupload/torrent stuff)?

Bada is a New Baby OS of Samsung. So inorder to promote it
samsung has released Bada in the form of Samsung Wave.
Suppose if Bada is released on a low end mobile with no amoled display
can you dare to purchase it ? And Bada would have vanished within weeks.
To conclude, those who own wave are really lucky for owning
a High End Mobile at a very cheap price!!
IT'S ONLY A MARKETING STRATEGY.. Samsung has already achieved
a huge success in it!!

Does accelerometer works on third party java applications or not .. my friend's using samsung monte, in his phone accelerometer does not work in opera mini and other installed apps, it only works in default application.

Go to Games and More, and tap on the three dots "..." at the bottom center. Select "Use visrtual Keypad" and uncheck the java application which you are trying to use. You can also select "Fit to screen" and uncheck the java application to get better clarity. Hope this helps

hi guys, just bought my samsung wave s8500 yesterday, chose it vs the blackberry bold 9700. am loving it the phone because it was such as upgrade vs the Samsung B7610. But i got unconfirmed news that the firmware should be updated every 3mos or else the phone will shut down. is this true? hope someone can enlighten me on this.

Hey Guys, While running any Java application(Opera mini, java games, etc.) two grey colored tabs appears at the bottom of the screen which doesn't look good. Is there any way to hide those tabs?
