If ur looking for a good Multimedia fon and a goooood camera then OBVIOUSLY go for the wave. but one more thing to consider is that the Operating system of WAVE is still new and young. Going for the HTC LEGEND or HTC DESIRE might be a good alternative as their operating system is much more Mature and Android has lots n lots more applications.

yes, you are correct, wave camera is not good, why samsung not put better camera lens to wave like samsung jet,omnia2 wave and jet it has both 5MP camera, but jet,omnia2,omnia hd is very clear camera than wave, wave is a good resolution, but camera optic lens is too bad, memory error is a big buggs of wave. untill now no firmware update for wave to fixed more problem.

I think people here need to relax a bit. Please don't expect Samsung to release firmware update every week. Nokia release firmware updates only once in 6 months & you think that's pretty good ?
It seems Samsung are working on bada 1.5/2.0 rather than mere firmware updates.

i'm gonna sell my wave tomorrow. cause i can feel now that samsung is really leaving bada behind..no firmware update. all i can see on the web is about samsung and android. ex android 2.2 on galaxy S delayed till october.. i thinks samsung;s focus is really on windows 7 phone and android.. samsung wave is a good phone. but it's not a smartphone. it's a multimedia phone. up to now there no good bada IM apps. all we can do is install java IM like nimbuzz which i dont prefer.. so before the value of wave depreciates so much. i decided to sell it and switch to htc desire. which is really a smartphone accoirding to my reasearch , android os have lots of apps that are useful like im, navigation. editor , games , etc,, but for bada. we struggle to wait and wait and wait... now how long can you wait before a new phone comes out again..

Culbreeze, 29 Sep 2010I want this phone BADLY! I hope Samsung doesn't abandon BAD... moreman.. don't expect any good GPS or IM application coming to bada.. it will never happen. for example, samsung wants a cut from r66 for GPS application, therefore, no google map or tom tom for that. they will get a cut from r66 any time r66 sell a subscription.

and IM? it's been like 3 months and you only have gtalk and aim client (useless Palringo). Socialhub will never happen to you unless you are a Dutch. Later worldwide service? may be 2 years later but samsung will do the same way with r66 like you pay to your network for the service and sammy will take a cut from it.

I want this phone BADLY! I hope Samsung doesn't abandon BADA. BADA is wonderful is like a version of IPhone OS, but even better. Make more Apps for the BADA OS. I wish there will be a firmware upgrade soon, before I buy the phone. The only concern for me with the current firmware is the "lack of memory" issues according to every review I read or watched. I wish Samsung build another flagship phone running BADA but with a larger screen, say, 3.5 to 3.7, and with Super AMOLED :)

nusry, 28 Sep 2010x6 or samsung wave? samsung is better when we compare feat... moresurely go for X6. samsung wave is the best out of the box. after that.. that's it... you will get abandoned by samsung. and samsung will go on and design and produce another one. samsung doesn't care about customer satisfaction or anything.. that's samsung way.. and it will be samsung way forever...

wave sold so many not because samsung's marketing and support (which is virtually non-exist) but because lots of preview and review sites like GSMArena.. sammy has to thank for that..

dfgdgd, 28 Sep 2010Is the camera lens glass made of the same scratch resistant... moreI don't think you need to be so concerned about glass covering the lens. I've had my S8500 for over 2 months now and just carry it in my pocket unprotected and the phone has yet to produce a scratch.

(FYI I don't put *anything* else in the pocket that's carrying my mobile)
