SidewindeR, 11 Sep 2010Mate... take my advice.. go for N8 and you won't regret it.... moremay be you are right Bada is not mature enough but it is still better looking and faster than the dieing symbain ,nokia only trying to gain some time by symbian until meego becomes ready.
by the way Bada has a Doc editor.
to Jke: if the camera is the most important thing for you in the smart phone go for n8 but you will miss the video light and the torch.

abhi, 11 Sep 2010i know bada is not best . but yes its certainly better than... moreHow come you simply say that Bada is better than symbian. Just imagine symbian on samsung wave. It will be the best combo. All that hardware power with the flexibility and customisation of symbian platform will make it a killer combo. Thoguh I hate this bada, I really really love this phone. it's so tempting and i've been eyeing this phone for quite a long time now. Unless samsung comes up with a major update, bada is still stuck in the mud.

abhi, 11 Sep 2010acc. to me 3.2 mp camera shoud be enough for all purposes..... more@jke
I think a gud 5MP cam shud b d max nd min u need 4 ur day 2 day activities. If u want more, better go 4 a digital camera. N8 camera howsoever good can never beat a digital camera 4 obvious reasons. Phones battery is shared while dat of a digicam dedicated solely to one thing. Thats why i bought Wave instead of waiting 2 buy N8. Rather i bought a Sony digicam 12MP for Rs 6500 for photography on special occasions. The cam of Wave is enough 4 day 2 day photography except if u really r into photography or media business.
Though frankly i wud loved 2 hav USB OTG nd dedicated Google goodies in Wave.

You better take a look at Satio for comparison. and Symbian 3 is poorly customised but still I think its more matured than bada. After using Wave for 2 months now I really feel thers is no such useful application for bada. It's definitely not the number of them but the quality is. Looking forward to get Galaxy S next month.
        Regards.

When will this crappy os get updated?

Will samsung ever update it or we will be stuck with
the bugs like for ever? The os is good but it still needs
          to be updated for sure.

for viewing on pc . also 2 or 3.2 mp is enough . and wave has 5mp
u'll just waste that 12 mp coz no one needs it......

The 'p' in 720p doesn't stand 4 pixel rather it stands 4 progressive. So now u nd ofcourse every1 can encode d videos in 1280*720 nd nt just 800*480. Saurav u r really a stubborn guy, be a bit flexibile. Flexibility rather than rigidity makes u more resilient. :-)

The problem with Bada is that Bada is not mature enough as a smartphone platform. There are still some restrictions and the lack of good apps like skype and office doc editor in Bada. The hardware of wave deserves 10 stars but the only thing lacking as far as I am concerned is the lack of flexibility and customisation that is already present in symbian.
Wave is a very good phone hardware wise but still has a long way to go from the software perspective and that should start with a major update to the crappy Kies or whatever it is called.
And with N8 though you pay a little extra, that will pay off in the long run with life time free navigation, unlimited music downloads from ovi music store and a lifetime support from nokia with regular firmware updates.

d wave, 11 Sep 2010@ abhi Hey Abhi is it essential to buy a screen guard...si... moreno it is not essential...
i used my wave for 1 month widout screenguard and no scratches at all
but u know my wave is such a hot phone . it keeps rotating in my class from ohne person to other .. least remains with me..
so i need to protect it...

although capacitive screens are generally last scratches coz anything other than fingers is not used.......

i dont think it affected the sensitivity of the screen.
but yes fingerprints are more now.. oil smudgs etc....

It's all started from that conversion of video you said to some user to 1280*720 instead of 800*480, then I said anything beyond Wave's screen resolution is meanigless to watch. This is the fact, if you have any problem accepting it, then it's your problem. I will keep continue to say the facts.

I use nokia 5800 at the moment. I am planning on upgrade. Choices are n97 mini vs wave vs HTC legend.
I extensively use GPS, music and web.

I am leaning towards n97 mini, for the fact that it offers unlimited voice navigation.

Please suggest and support your answer.

BTW,its the computing power and quality of screen together that gives you a happy viewing experience. If you dont have even one of these, the experience is not worth it. Who would want to watch a HD movie on a 17" crt monitor :) You can get a regular cd or dvd and watch on that :)
