I don't use it for anything, but have it there because, I have also registered for Samsung Dive and that required a samsung account.
Overnight, with every possible connectivity switched off save GSM, I see a 3 - 4 % drop in charge.
Just wanted to let you know.
Indian Waver users are in a similar state, we too can't buy paid apps. Infact the lifetime Navigation offer from Route 66 isn't even there for India.

I found that there were a lot of Samsung Wave's owners complaining about Wave's battery life. Some last 4 days and some last less than a day.
I have been using Samsung Wave for more than 2 months now. Wave's battery usually last about 3 or 4 days with the following setting:
Screen brightness : level 2
2 emails and 1 facebook account with updating interval 15 minutes, 3 hours and 12 hours respectively.
Moderate use of video, music and web browser, totally about 30 minutes a day. And about 10 or 15 voice and video calls.
BATTERY USAGE IS ABOUT " 1% " AN HOUR.
However, my Wave's battery started to drain too quick in the last few weeks averaging about 4 and 5 % with the same setting. I thought my battery was gone bad and starting to find solution. But the battery is still draining about 4 or 5 % even though I wasn't using the phone at all.
And then I started to realise that I started using Samsung account for FOTA, Social Hub and App store which basically doesn't work for any of those. Today I deleted useless Samsung account and my Wave's battery is back to normal 1% in hour now. I am so happy .
As far as I know, Samsung account maintains connection with Sammy server 24/7 by default and you can only change the interval if you are socialhub premium user. I think that drained the battery so quick. Therefore, if you don't have social hub premium, save the battery by deleting "Samsung Account" from "My Accounts". If you have social hub premium then, change the polling interval to the value you desire.
I want to put the screen shots but my phone will need to be hard reset and I don't want to start from the beginning. Sorry guys.
Can someone confirm that if you have samsung account logged in and drain the battery so quick and save the battery by deleting samsung account?

My FW is XXJG3 and I am a poor New Zealander who can't buy Apps from Samsung App store, who can't use Premium hub and who can't update FW through Samsung Kies either. Thanks to Samsung Firmware World for that. Really appreciated !

the phone is great .recomment to everyone
but the only one thing bad is software Ki (kies) so slow to install .And hard to serch for driver...

When i try to upgrade ... morerl.dll is a trojan (googled it). :-)
Better do a complete uninstall of Kies. Don't use the add/remove programs. Use a third-party uninstaller like revo uninstaller (it's free before but you can find plenty of free uninstallers). It will remove all registry items and other stuff left behind. Then restart your PC. Download the latest Kies version, install it then restart your PC again. Then run Kies. See if that works. Good luck.
I'm using Windows 7. No problems with Kies and upgrading my FW at all.

Can any Wave oner pls help me. I just love the specifications of this phone and I'm planing to buy myself a wave very soon but need help with 3 questions.
1. Can i block specific numbers to calls and sms (Block list) to prevent them calling/ smsing?
2. Does Wave have privacy feature like other samsungs where you need password to open messages, pics, videos and so on.
3. Does Wave have voice dialing?

Exually I didnt hv2 upgrate my old KIES from the UK and I am still able getting the FW Upgrates notification and work flawles once in a while.I get a pop up that i can upgrade my KIES,But if it aint broke why fix it,just a minus problem that i cant DL apps fully with my KIES,Wel then I dl it directley through my wifi wave,No problemo

Guys does any one of you have the problem of upgrading firmware to JH1 from JF2? Mine is showing- 'This devices version cannot be upgraded'. Anyone having this message or only me? Please input your comments. I am keen to do the upgrade.

raj, 30 Aug 2010how many sms u get daily,around 500mb it is shared with mms... morei get around 100 sms daily and send nearly the same number, i dnt really care about mms and emails, however can i use these 500mb until they are full? if this is the case it will be more than enough for me, the back up option to memory card looks pretty good though. just if i back up to the memory card can i access to them and read them anytime?
