I bought a wave recently. Everything works perfect but when I plug the head set & play music sound comes through only one side of the head phone. I am wondering whether I should replace the audio input socket. Can someone help me to get this fixed.

Come to think of it, historically the Bada introduction is thus far the smoothest birthing of a phone OS. Except maybe the intro of the original iPhone, which isn't actually a smartphone yet, and with even its fourth incarnation paling in comparison to the capabilities of less expensive phones. (But I do bow to its introduction of the multi-touch handset screen and UI, which really changed the industry forever).

Both run on android, but still have all the major flaws that early android versions have (they're made with the 1.6 cupcake version in mind, spica has 2.1 update but performance becomes very erratic; optimus is actually newer than even wave, but is limited to cupcake). But that's about it, their specs are way, waaay below the wave. Others with better specs than these two (with some still spec'd lower than the Wave) are priced higher, even those coming from Samsung.
I don't think that at its price point you can get Super Amoled screen (just this is worth the price already, you have to see the screen in person, vids & pix don't do it justice), HD video recording and playback (esp a wide range of formats that even includes mkv), GPS, wifi-n (really great for streaming HD videos from the phone to an LCD screen) and, from what I hear (both from the phone itself and from reviews) the best-sounding portable music player thus far (I can guarantee it beats out dedicated music players, even all iPods, and it has a really beautiful interface). Connectivity is all there (even beats out more expensive phones with wifi-n and bluetooth 3). I think they priced it at a steal to lure users to Bada.
So your best bet to find something with comparable specs and price would probably be another Bada handset...or if Wave becomes really popular and forces prices of other units down.
Omnia II prices have been lowered to almost the Wave's price, but it doesn't have super amoled, HD video, wifi-n and some other wave surprises, but I think that would be your best option if you're jittery about jumping on the badawagon

You don't have to convince others not to get it either. They can see the problems posted by users themselves. They can also search if anyone's found a solution or not. I'm not sure what the purpose of your post is. Nor why I'm replying, come to think of it... :D

It is far better than what android was in its infancy, a lot better,fast,fluid,intuitive,polished. None out of the present crop of phone OSes had those apps from the word go, and they all had their problems to begin with (and still have them).
Whether it becomes the next big thing or not is still to be seen, but it definitely is really good for a new OS and samsung is doing its bit for promoting it.
No phone is perfect mate, and all of them has their advantages and disadvantages. There is no phone that is the shit for everybody and there is always something better than what you have. Whats special about Wave is that it is Amazing Value for your money and eats anything that comes in the range of even 7-8K higher than its own.

[Navigation in Wave is free. For most regions, however, you'd need to download your country map before it can be really useful:
Download and install "Route66 Sync" program from the net to your pc;
Run Route66 Sync and create a user account;
Connect Wave to your pc via USB in Mass Storage mode;
Route66 Sync program will show you available maps for your locale. Usually country maps and voice guides are free, but walk & drive would usually have a minimal charge.]
Both Samsung and Route66 neglected to indicate that you have to first sync country maps from PC to be able to use the software more properly. This goes to show not just how young Bada is, but also how advanced the Wave package actually is. It's priced low because of such possible birthing hiccups, but it's really up to the community to eliminate such challenges and to realize the full capabilities of this handset.

wouldnt buy it anyday, cos BADA OS is immature, np proper applications available , no good gps software . better to get an android phone rather if u dont want to get frustrated like vodaphone h1(samsung gt-i8320) users, which has almost the same specs as motorola milestone but stupid limo os without support for applications.

About 3G, The settings are easy to obtain. You just call mtnl care when your card gets activated and ask them to send you the settings. They get delivered instantly and you can install em.
Their network is a bit wobbly though, sometimes it shuffles between 3G and Gprs. Still, the speed you get is pretty decent.
And it is a bit ridiculously priced because of the monopolistic nature of market when you talk about 3G. Airtel is gonna launch its 3G service sometime in september/october and I am looking fwd to that. :)

Wave is a smartphone, so users multitask a lot and will encounter crashes and errors from time to time, but nothing very different from other smartphones, especially considering that the platform is barely two months old. And this phone is the first. What you're seeing over the net is the phenomenon of early adapters exchanging every little note, feedback, tips, tricks and challenges as a community hopefully to improve on the bada OS and to maximize their Wave devices' capabilities.
It's a young community, if you have jitters about this new thing, don't get Wave. But as an early adapter, I can tell you that you'll be missing out on a great phone that's priced at a really ridiculously low price. Plus we get to kick the ass out of more pricey phones, especially when we're able to eliminate stuff that at first seem to be problems. That's what you're seeing. These are pioneers comparing notes on a new trail... ;)
