cooza, 25 Jul 2010DNS means "Domain Name System" which is basiclly ... moreBro i dont agree with what you said that DNS problems means that you dont have internet connection. dns is a name server that translate an ip address and convert it into names so that users can memorize it. which is easier to memorize 10.223.135.12 or google.com? that's the function of dns.
now if you got problems with dns probably there is a glitch or a problem with the dns address that your using. trying setting it up manually. i know a stable dns address which is 4.2.2.2 for primary dns and 4.2.2.3 for alternate dns. try it. hope that works ^^,

I bought one for 800php 8gb microSD card. the fone display is beyond words.

To change location for storing the message: Go to
"Settings" > "Application" > "Messages" > "Text Messages" then change the "Save to" option to "Phone".

"Swype" has been supported since Samsung Omnia II. And of course WAVE inherit this feature as well. Not only that nowadays Motorola touch screen mobile started to support this feature.
Nevertheless "Swype" is the best way for touch phone to type easily and faster. Even better and more comfortable that typing in iPhone.

Hi,
JF2 has fixed the biggest flaw in WiFi. Now once you turn off WiFi from either the top pull down menu or the Settings>Connectivity>WiFi menu, it will NEVER turn on automatically again in background, nor will it do any WiFi scanning. This is a BIG relief and battery life has gone up SIGNIFICANTLY. However, still some memory problems are there with certain Widgets, which occasionally given a "Memory low" sort of messages. This I think happens only when you club Dolphin browser use. I have faced this some times when the following activities were performed (in no particular order): 1. General browsing, 2. You tube, 3. NFS, 4. Downloaded Widgets like clock etc. Any of these could leak memory, but I suspect its either Dolphin or the widgets.
Kies needs to be updated (from whatever version came on the 2 CD's) before you upgrade. Do it on a weekend, as it will take more time (min 1-1.5 hr) depending on your internet connection speed.
Firmware is good otherwise, no issues.

HEY ppl...willing to buy this phone, but also thinking abt the galaxy s and htc desire. apart for the fact that this is much cheaper than those two phones, any other suggestions y i shud just stick to this? :p
and does any1 kno if the samsung apps are accessible through the mobile Internet from Bangladesh??

" I bought Wave yesterday for 17.5 k with 2GB Class 2 micro SD card in box. I exchanged it with 8GB Class 4 card (Kingston).
I am able to browse websites on it but it does not run youtube videos. When I click on it, it says
"No Wi-Fi AP found. Use Packet data."
I select Yes, then it says "Try Again"...."
Can smbdy help me to sort out this problem??
Though I must say this is one of the most wonderful mobile I have had..."
@ ASR , you have to change the network profile , change your internet profile from your wireless network to phone network GPRS settings...then try accsing youtube...i dont use Samsung wave but i have a samsung superb, this is how it works...try doing it and let me know what happens.

i owned a samsung wave i got some software problem so they updated my software, now its like everything is working f9 but wen i click on the samsung application icon its say set connection for network service and shows network error.... and after update wen i switch on my cell it shows some anycell something like dat....

This is the best phone samsung ever made and for years to come this phone still be usable and compete with many up coming phones, I just hope samsung just give up on its other brand and make more phone like Wave, This phone is simply superb!
