how to get the latest firmware
actually do i need to upgrade?as kies says it cant be upgraded
anyone from india having the same firmware as mine below

also my internet works in wifi
but not in 3G BSNL
also the battery charges to 100% but becomes 85% immediately after i remove the plug , i have tried it thrice same, also the talktime shown is only 5hrs
anyother method to see the actual battery charge left
i use the battery check or batterylife from samsung apps

Like my previous message said, if I schedule the message to send in 2 mins then the phone will restart by itself when it is time to send the scheduled message.
But if I schedule the message to send at least 5 mins or more then it works without any problem.
I guess may be the scheduled time is too short for the phone to initialize the scheduler or something in the background.
At least finally the message scheduler is working properly on my Samsung WAVE. As far as this feature is working fine, I can confirm that my phone is not faulty.
By the way, my firmware version is "DXJF1"

I ask that because I have problems d... moreim starting to think that the GPS problems might be a Route66 thing and not a phone problem.if you take a look at the GPS complaints they all seem to be saying they are working with Route66.i had the same problem but i downloaded the NDrive nav app from the samsung apps site and ive never had one single problem at all actually its extremely fast to locate my position and calculate routes.so could be a problem with the Route66 app as NDrive is working flawlessly.

your second problem you should bring it back for an exchange, i played NFS for 3-4 hours and it hasn't heated up apart from the warmth of my hand...

what you mean by heating how hot does it get? its quite normal for some heating, specially if you have the cpu working very hard, i don't seem to have this issu!

There are so many love... moreThanks for sharing your honest findings, my phone doesn't heat up much but that degree of heating is quite normal, specially the back being metal which is actually advantage when it comes to heat transfer, so better than plastic which can't conduct the heat as much. any way ONE IMPORTANT PLUS IS :
SAMSUNG GIVES 2 YEARS WARANTY WITH THE every WAVE PHONE in the UK, this is amazing and peace of mind for all. so I am a happy user and no issue so far whatsoever.

I love the phone ... apart from the GPS. Lots of people have already said that the GPS doesn't work. I find that it is really inconsistent. When it connects it is great but sometimes I just cannot get it to find a satellite. Samsung, this is NOT good enough! I use Route 66 navigation software which works well. You connect to Route 66 synch through the PC using the USB lead (choose Mass storage for Route 66 rather than selecting the Kies option). The phone works well aprt from the GPS. I really hope Samsung fix this soon.

This phone definitely has potential. There are so many lovely and even brilliant things. But I have to say that there is room for improvement, especially when it comes to performance.
- battery life is not that good as advertised - one day on the average
- the phone gets heated very quickly and when it does the screen feedback is slower and sometimes even comes to a freeze
- the touch heptyc feed back is not working properly (only on keypads)
- there are problems with the native email application (even with gmail)
- there are firmware updates (upgrades?) but i could not find and descriptions or update logs, which makes the situation confusing for ordinary users
I sincerely hope these things are to be addressed by Samsung and improved. This phone and Bada OS surely deserve that.

Buy this phone today mostly just to try Bada. I do not like it compare to my Galaxy S and Iphone 4. After one hour of playing with it give it to my wife.
The system very basic and not enough application there. Do not even have the AIM chat or any popular news.

So the p2 is 3years old device p3 is 2 years old , and the wave is new device(i know its not an mp4 player), and u can expect to got the same at least if not better sound quality.. =D

3.Google is working flawless on my Wave, also yahoo mail and my office mail, you did something wrong with your internet settings, please check again
