I bought this phone off eBay and it came from Hon... moreIf you really want to change your phone to support European languages, try to change your firmware to S8500XXJF1 with BOOT and FFS files!. As far as I know this FW only has many European languages because I flashed it.
But please not try to follow exact procedures when flashing. Don't try to flash many times, it will make your wave a bit slow and lag.
You can get the firmware from here. http://www.samsungfirmwareworld.com/samsung-s8500-firmwares-t28.html But you will need to register though. Flashing Wave is very simple and only takes about 10 or 20 minutes for the full firmware.
Please note all the data and settings will be lost. Anyway, you can download your apps back from kies or manually one by one.

I am experiencing an annoying problem with my Samsung wave. When I try to send a SMS message, some of the entries in the contact list are not displayed.
Have you experienced the same problem? Any solutions? Thank you very much.

Another note: in the review, it says "lack of auto-complete when typing the address of already visited websites". This is not correct! The browser on my WAVE surely does the auto-completion - I just checked. FYI.

I just downloaded Opera browser on my Wave -not that I needed it, but purely because I know opera is a good browser and wanted to give it a shot here. 60 seconds later I decided that I will not be using it. The Samsung Dolphin Browser already built-in works way better for me. Very intuitive browsing. I don't think IPhone's Safari Browser is any better. Plus, Dolphin supports FLASH! :)

Dear Friends,
Can I Re-Install the Android 2.1 or Latest Android OS on this New Great Samsung S8500 Wave Phone.
Instead of Using It's Original Bada OS. Because Samsung Bada OS got a lot of Limitation for Online use and for business use. Thus why.
If Anyone from here can give me the Guarantee that I can Wipe Out the Bada OS and Install the New Android OS on this Phone then I would definitely buy this Phone.
And will not forget yr Kind Recommendation for me. Because Bada OS is the Only Barrier for me to Purchase this Phone. Acutally I like this Wave a lot !
